I hired Cochran to replace my roof a few years ago, they did a good job so I hired them again to replace siding. This second experience is unacceptable and very stressful. There were communications issues - a crew arrived when I did not expect them, weeks later they said they had finished the job without letting me know. There were issues with how the siding was installed - The crew poorly finished the job, and I had to call the office to have parts of the siding redone. This should be a function of quality control, and not be left to the customer. There were issues with integrity - At one point I was told they had reset a part of the siding to cover a white area between the boards, but it turned out that they had filled the area with color, which washed out after rain that day. The crew accidentally broke the finials off my guard rail, but did not tell me about this, and the ladders damaged part of my gutter because they did not use gutter protectors. This lack of professionalism and not being forthright about the damage to my home, hurt my trust in the workmanship and integrity of the company. There were clean-up issues, nails were strewn around my yard and ladders were left on my neighbors yard during the work. They said they would fix the issues and sent out a quality control specialist. I had hope after this, but within a week a crew arrived to replace a damaged shingle, and threw a ladder up against the gutters, again without observing any degree of professionalism and protecting the gutters from damage. I paid more for the job because I trusted Cochran Exteriors after a first positive experience. A company is only as good as its least professional crew or supervisor. I am hoping that the issues are going to be taken care of by Cochran. At this point, I would not recommend this company - there is absolutely no need for the level of stress we have experienced, all because of the lack of a good supervisor, decent quality control and follow-up and management of the various crews, and communication with the customer.

We contacted them sales person come out and measured and told us that they will get back with us the nest day with the measurements and quotes. He comes out no problem there. The next day he send a quote after leaving a sample of sidings i picked the ones we wanted, he send quote and for me it was very reasonable i had someone else to compared too and it was a good quote so i told them that i will hire them . They they will order the suppes weeks go by and he told me he was going to let me know when the siding was in .(this was 3 weeks) i signed the quoted amount and hired them. He asked for half down and i agreed he needed the money to be paid only with debt card and i did this immediately, 2 weeks pass no word from him . and last week someone from Cochran showed up i didn't not know about him. apparently this was the installed to do measurements . I asked him when will they start and informed me they haven't even ordered the supplies so i called the office myself and stated they were never orders so they waisted my time and money and quoted me different after words

I hired this company to replace my roof and do additional repairs. The crew did not finish my roof in one day, and if course, it rained that night. They did not cover parts of the roofs and water came to my living room. I called that night after being up replacing buckets of water, in the morning I reached out again because it was raining again and nobody was coming over to cover up the roof section. Mid-morning crew finally came to stop the water and finish the roof. After not hearing from someone for ONE WEEK, I reached out and finally thought I got some answers. Almost TWO MONTHS after my roof was put on, I finally got the inside of my house repaired. I would call the office and would be directed to my sales reps, then I would not hear from them for days and only after I reached back out to them only to be directed back to the office or have my questions completely ignored. Even after explaining how bad their communication was, it got worse. At no point did anyone reach out to see if the roof was done properly and no rain was coming again, simply inexcusable for a business. I would not recommend this business for any roofing needs you may have.

We hired Cochran to replace some trim and two exterior doors on a new house we bought in April. They just finished the work in October. After the initial salesperson got us to sign the contract, the communication was terrible. I literally called them every week (sometimes more than once a week) for several months, just trying to get someone to tell me what was going on. It felt like my second job. No one would return my calls. After I texted the number I had saying that I was going to leave a bad review, Dawn called me and said she would be on top of it from now on, and I could call and talk directly to her. That also did not pan out. I continued to have trouble getting in touch with them and figuring out when work would be done. And when I called and asked to talked to Dawn, she was not available and rarely actually called me back. The experience of dealing with this company was so bad that it would have been funny if it was not so stressful. I would not recommend them to anyone. I must say that the actual tradespeople were professional and did good work (when it was finally scheduled), but the lack of organization, communication, and planning was unlike anything I have ever experienced.

This company is great. We have used them a couple of times now because of the age of our roof. They did a roof inspection for us today. Its easy to schedule. They were on time for the appointment. Will did a very thorough job with inspecting the roof. He lets us know all of our options in a timely fashion. We will definitely use this company for all of roofing needs in the future.

My whole experience with Cochran was difficult, frustrating, and stressful. From the sales to the finished project nothing went smoothly. I was ensured that everything would be picked up and I still find bits of siding and nails in my yard. I had to have them come back multiple times to replace unacceptable work.

I do not recommend Cochran Exteriors. From communication problems, scheduling delays, cut-corner craftsmanship, and not to mention the mess I had to clean up inside my house, the entire experience was stressful and frustrating. I contracted with Cochran Exteriors to install a new roof and gutters on my home. The job included replacing some decking and removing skylights from the roof. On the day work was scheduled to start June 14, I waited over 2 hours for the crew to arrive in the â earlyâ morning only to learn they were finishing a job at another site that morning. No communication was provided in advance of this. When I returned home in the evening, the crew was about half-way finished on this â one day jobâ . The interior of my house was covered in debris from removing the skylights. There was no mention of this potential beforehand, or had the crew shown up on time they could have suggested laying a tarp over the area in advance. The roofing crew finished 2 days later because of weather delays. The gutters were schedule for replacement a week later, June 21. Late in the afternoon, I was notified that the crew would be unable to arrive due to mechanical problems and was rescheduled for the following Monday and then delayed another day because of weather. The crew nearly finished on Tuesday, but were unable because they did not have adequate supplies to finish 2 downspouts. They finished the following day. On Monday, June 24, I noticed there was a leak coming from near my chimney. I was notified that I would be contacted about inspection of the roof and the leak. Two days later, I still had not received contact, apparently due to a personal matter with the assigned staff person. Additionally, sections of the flat roof material over a screen porch were not properly secured when the gutters were replaced. I was notified that another staff person would inspect the roof and report back. I was out of town the following week, but did not hear from anyone. When I returned on July 3, I inquired again about the status and was told the chimney was in disrepair which was the cause of the leak. An inspection was scheduled the following day which was later canceled and rescheduled the next day because of weather, though it wasnâ t raining at my house. Following this inspection, it was agreed additional caulking around the chimney would be applied and the porch roof secured. A week later I followed up on the status of the repairs and was notified they would be resolved on July 17, which actually occurred that day. During this time, I noticed the downspout from the second story did not drain into the gutter on the first story but instead allowed the water to flow onto the roof and then into the gutter. During a heavy rainstorm that week, the water was gushing past the gutter directly into my driveway. I asked for this to be fixed. On July 19, the â fixâ for this downspout was simply to turn the opening 90 degrees instead of properly channeling the water directly from the downspout into the gutter below. It was finally resolved two days later on July 25.

After a tree fell on our house, we got quotes from several companies on a partial roof replacement, gutter repairs, and interior repairs. After meeting with the sales rep, Todd, and reading through reviews we decided to go with Cochran. Within a week we had signed a contract with them and thats where everything went downhill. The contract said they would start within 1-2 weeks and the work would take 5-6 days to complete. Cochran said they would handle all the insurance communications for us and said they submitted a supplement request for some things insurance missed. For 2 weeks we kept checking in and Todd kept telling us that insurance was holding things up and they could not start until insurance processed the supplemental request. Finally, we called insurance to see where the holdup was only to find out that Cochan never submitted the supplement. Instead of any kind of apology or offer to remedy the situation, Todd said *Well, I guess I will take the blame for this since it is our company* and basically just blamed everyone else. The supplement was approved by our insurance the following day, and I had to call Cochran every other day to get the work scheduled (this was March and the giant holes in our roof were draining energy and letting in water). We signed the contract on 3/2, and we were finally able to get a start date of 3/23. The day came, and to no ones surprise the crew never showed up. I contacted our sales rep again and found out that the crew actually went to the wrong house, tore the roof off the wrong house, then realized that they did not have the materials to replace that roof (because ours was only a partial repair). It was another 5 days before they came out to start the work on our roof. The roofing crew was actually good and did a great job on the repairs. It took another 20 days to get a crew to start interior repairs and 25 days for them to start work on the gutters (only after calling, texting and emailing them every other day again), They messed up the drywall repairs and no one on the crew (including the superintendent) noticed it until we did and had to ask them to come out and look at it and point out all the mistakes. When the job was done they sent us a certificate of completion asking us to sign that we were satisfied with the work and that we owed them a large amount of money. When I asked for an itemized bill it turned out they were overcharging us by $600 and I had to ask them to send a revised invoice. Overall it took 8 weeks and a ridiculous amount of follow-up and frustration on our end to get a halfway decent repair job. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They brag all about their great reviews on HomeAdvisor, but at no point during this process did anyone act like these mistakes are unusual. There are plenty of other options out there and I hope no one else gets fooled by these reviews as we did.

"Our initial inspection appointment at this home occurred on February 25, 2019 which was the same day the homeowner called in to request an inspection. The contract to move forward was signed March 4, 2019. Since the damage was multifaceted, we inspected and provided estimates for the roofing, flat roofing portion of the roof, and any additional structural or interior damage estimated costs to submit to the homeownerÂ’s insurance company. The supplement with the estimates provided to complete all trades of necessary work was submitted March 13, 2019. The supplement was approved by the insurance company March 19, 2019. In error, our representative confirmed a schedule date to start the roof with the homeowner. Our team did not tear off another roof thinking it was the homeownerÂ’s rather there was a miscommunication about the schedule date provided to the homeowner by our representative. The roof was confirmed on schedule for March 28, 2019 and our crew began work. Because of issues that arose during the build which were anticipated due to the nature of the damage the roofing portion was fully completed by April 1, 2019 and our superintendent overseeing the project met with the homeowner and did a walkthrough of the work completed. Our team scheduled the interior portion of the work April 18, 2019 and unfortunately it was the first available time slot we had to complete that portion of the work. We then completed additional gutter and fascia work that was scheduled and completed April 23, 2019. We understand the inconvenience of having to schedule out multiple trades and apologize for any miscommunication along the way. These issues were addressed internally with our team and we apologize if they were not well communicated with the homeowner as we continue to try and better our processes. We worked to credit back any money associated with work that was not completed by us based off of what was approved through the insurance scope and due to the immense details apologize if the invoicing process was not as smooth as it could have been. Although we do not wish for delays or miscommunication we worked with the homeowner to try and address any concerns and will continue to do so if there are any questions or issues in the future."

There was a small amount of water damage to a bedroom ceiling. Ralph came out to inspect my roof. He did a thorough inspection and deduced that the damage came from a one-time back up of water at the gutter where some debris was during a recent heavy rain. No repairs were necessary. The inspection was free and he did not try to sell me a service I did not need. Cochran Exteriors are fast, efficient, and honest. I highly recommend them!
