Originally Cotton farmers in Arkansas, our land was wiped by the ef-4 tornado that came through late 2021. As of 2024 I've decided to take my hands on knowledge & 3 years commercial carpentry experience, and apply that to DeeH's Solution. Employing my brothers, we are highly devoted. Similarly, you should avoid painting over textured wallpaper because the ridges and patterns in the paper will be visible. In either of these situations, you should remove the wallpaper before painting.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space. 

Once again, contact with moisture is the culprit here, though water-resistant varieties of wallpaper are less likely to become wet and develop mold. Using a high-quality exhaust fan or dehumidifier and leaving the doors or windows cracked after bathing will keep this issue at bay.
