"My handrails had been dinged from the hailstorm in May. This pro came to see what needed to be done, gave me an estimate of the cost to redo these by sanding, spray painting with primer, and the material cost. When he showed up as promised, he covered all the exposed portions of the porch with plastic and cardboard to avoid unwanted paint smears. The handrails look almost new and that is amazing since they are original to the house and have been painted many times. Very professional."

"I reached out to Oasis fencing through email and was contacted immediately. We were able to set up a time for a free quote. After that my decision was made to go with this company. "If we could give Dimmett's Home Repair Service a higher grade than A, we would! Absolutely outstanding work and great customer service. They are very ethical, honest, professional and trustworthy. We had our bathroom, kitchen and our basement remodeled (and we added numerous other projects to the list when they were here). They worked with us on all of our requests. We live in an older house that had extensive water damaged over the years (much worst then anyone anticipated). Staining a fence is less expensive than painting a fence due to the cost of materials and the longevity of the finish. Stain not only lasts longer than paint without chipping or peeling, but you also won’t have to put in the extra time and cost to prime the surface first.

Most people prefer to keep the fence level by “stepping” the fence when running a horizontal fence over a slope. Stepping involves raising each panel between the posts as the fence moves over changes in slope, giving the fence line the appearance of stair steps. While this may be the preferred method of running a horizontal fence up a slope, there’s nothing wrong with installing your fence so it follows the undulations in the ground instead.

Ideally, when you replace a fence post, you should also replace the concrete footing. The concrete bonds to your new post, creating a secure base. If you install a new post into old concrete, it won’t be as sturdy.
