"Job included minor drywall repair in kitchen soffit and to a lace ceiling, and painting of repairs (and two extra rooms and trim), and our entryway wall and trim as well as the stairway walls and trim (to the top of the stairs). The drywall repairs were seamlessly done, and the painting of the repairs and spraying of lace ceiling very good. We know that lace ceiling repairs are hard to match, but these are nearly flawless match. The painting of the other rooms (dining and parlor), were completed with the same professionalism, quality, and care for my property as the repairs in the kitchen. Mario was quick to respond to questions and very responsive with changes made at the last minute. The job took 3 days. I highly recommend Reyes Painting to everyone reading this review. I am very critical of work I pay for, and Reyes delivered."

It’s a good idea to practice on a scrap surface before moving to your actual painting project to get used to using the sprayer. This can help avoid over spraying, which can lead to drips, bubbles, and other imperfections on your finished product.

There are times when you should remove all exterior paint before repainting. This includes when you need to get rid of lead-based paint (which should be done by a pro), or if you need to apply a different finish than what’s already there. Your house may also have too many pre-existing layers of old paint, in which case you’ll be better off getting rid of the old layers first.

Using the wrong tools, applying paint too thickly, or working in extreme temperatures and humidity can also cause bubbling. In some cases, incompatible layers of old and new paint types, like latex over oil-based, create tension, leading to blisters and bubbles.
