Rob, from roto rooter new just what to do, was very pleasant, friendly, professional, all that you could hope for. Was able to schedule an appt. within 2 hours of the time we called in. Took 1 1/2 hours to accomplish job I wouldn't have wanted to do, and was still cheerful, polite, etc. Told him the problem, he looked in the crawlspace at where the the drain for the open loop geothermal was, went out to the pond took the cap off the pipe going into the pond at the waters edge, went to work on it with his equipment and it seemed like hardly any time went by and Rob had it fixed and draining like brand new.Some rusty water had turned into a putty like substance and clogged the line. We are so appreciative. Checked with other places first, and despite what you may have heard the times we've used them, their prices were equal to or lower than the others. And fast service to boot! So happy we used them, and will continue to as the need arises. Upon failed test he worked on the underside of drain next and discovered cracked fitting on underside. He didn't have part but quickly obtained one to finish repair. We have a gravity drain that led to a creek with the outlet designed to be above the 100 year historic level of the creek which was flawless for 13 years. Then we had a storm in June 2013 that was estimated to have been in excess of a 500 year storm level. 8"-9" in 4 hours. Even though that storm would statistically not occur again for at least 499 more years the gravity drain didn't seem like a great idea to us anymore when some water reached our floor drains. We had several companies come out to evaluate a better solution and two suggested an exterior sump pump and check valve so we didn't have to tear up the lower level of our house. I was concerned about the pump freezing. Don said he has installed quite a few of these over the years without a single problem. The sump pit is a little deeper and the lid is bolted on and forms a frost seal. The ground temperature prevents the pump from freezing. Don also suggested we leave the gravity drain intact since it is fail proof (which for us was literally 99.98% correct but only due to one storm in 13 years)...he suggested we install a backwater valve that has a flapper valve which only allows water to go out. Actually, the backwater valve its self should have been enough but we wanted more assurance and wanted the pump as a back up...overkill perhaps but what price is peace of mind? We liked his proposal and had him do an estimate. It was $2000 less than the set up the other company was suggesting, tore up less of our landscaping and was a more elegant solution (less pieces/parts to fail) to boot. Don was there within a week and had the work done in 2 days. We barely knew he was there (other than the arm of his small backhoe visible through our living room window overnight) and he was done and gone. Don took my calls over the course of estimating to install to follow up and was always courteous even though I know I caught him at other worksites while he was working. What I observed working with him was a concerned guy with a seriously strong work ethic. He has a long history of doing foundation work so you know you are not just getting labor you are getting a solution. He values his work as well as his customers concerns and satisfaction. He even provided a longer warranty on the pump as added security.
We had one call back when we had a storm and became a little uncertain about how the system was operating. He was eager to be sure we were satisfied and came out to check the system for us. All was fine. He adjusted the sump pump float so if it was needed it would go off a little earlier.
I'd use him again in a heartbeat. Thanks Don.

They called prior to coming out and arrived at the promised time. The plumber quickly identified the source of the leak as a failed backflow valve, but as he dug into the problem, further damage from an improperly installed drain exit out of the house and even a smoking plug on the pump itself required more extensive work. The plumber showed me the problems each step of the way and given the age and the other 'unique' problems found in this house from the previous owners, it wasn't much of a surprise. During the final testing, the backflow check valve had been installed backwards and the plumber reversed the valve and did not charge me for that time. The system is better than it ever was and with a new pump installed, the question of the age and viability of the old pump is now gone."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/in/fort-wayne/north-side-plumbing-and-heating-co-inc-reviews-335814.htm"},"position":10}]}

They worked quick and had a beautiful french door put in after removal of a window. They kept us in contact with the crew who did the install and were respectful of our time and worked with our schedule!
He was great, cleaned out all the gutters and gave us some suggestions to make the drains work better. He will come back out and do some more work for us. We were very happy with him!

Family owned business with over 10 years of experience handling all your Plumbing needs for residential plumbing repairs. Water, fuel, and drainage systems. **There is a $50.00 trip charge that will be waived if you hire our company.
"Chance was great. He installed our 3-stage water filtration system (US Water sediment, carbon, and Pulsar UV) with an existing softener, a new water heater, and fixed two shower leaks (one drain, one valve). In all of these, he efficiently evaluated each system and made the necessary updates. This was working with a plumbing system originally installed in the 1980s. Fair pricing, and very professional. We highly recommend him."

"I bought a water heater. They first connected me with a plumbing company that tried to add on $270 for additional materials and labor costs that they could not justify. I returned the water heater, and they again connected me to Holthaus. Holthaus called later that same afternoon and scheduled for the next morning. Dan came out and installed the water heater and new stand in just an hour. He only charged $30 for additional materials related to new gas fittings. He was very polite, transparent, and thorough. I would highly recommend them."

FAQs for french drain service projects in New Haven, IN
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.
Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.
