Charles is very professional. He is careful with other trees, and our property. He cleans up very well. We have used him on our heavily wooded city lot for going on 20 years.

I was very impressed with Charles from the start. He is a very personable guy and very knowledgeable about trees. He told us what each of our trees were and had some good ideas on what to do with the space we would have after the trees came down. I was expecting $1,000 a tree, but he came in at a decent price and even trimmed some trees that we did not talk about when he gave us the quote. He and his team are efficient and cleaned everything up amazingly well. I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know and will use him again if we need to have any more trees taken down.

The owner did all of the climbing and cutting himself.  The pruning was done spike free.  He pruned and sealed the cuts. The tree pruning was very balanced.  This is the second time that he has done work for me.  I've been completely satisfied both times.  The price was right and the service was very professional.

The project went smoothly. The staff and needed equipment was provided by Douglas Tree Service. The estimate and then service were promptly completed in a safe and professional manner. My payment was required upon completion. My row of trees looks great now that problem with Dutch Elm disease has been solved. I recommend Douglas tree service to others living in Fort Wayne and nearby areas of Indiana.

Mr. Douglas is very professional, courteous, and considerate.  His workmanship is excellent.  He is very knowledgeable, highly skilled in his trade, and very customer oriented.  We would highly recommend Mr. Douglas for any tree service needs.  We will definitely call him again in the future, if we need more tree work done.  It would be nice if all contractors were as thorough and hard working as Mr. Douglas.

He said it would take a day. They were here from 8 to 5. They cut everything I wanted in a timely and safe manner. They left the area picked up and clean. They were then asked by two of my neighbors to do some work and those neighbors were pleased as well. This is the second time I have had Charles as I have a heavily wooded area with many large ash trees. He is a very hard worker, very professional, and wants his customer satisfied. He takes great pride in his work and his business. I would HIGHLY recommend Douglas Tree Service.

Charles (Mr. Douglas) was able to provide his servies within 2 days of his estimate, due to his awareness of the potential danger of the trees falling on our house. He was timely, polite, and friendly.

We were in a big jam time-wise because we found a pair of squirrels taking over our roof, eaves and attic. We needed to quickly have the trees trimmed after blocking their entryways. They had entered through rotten wood on the eaves and a second hole they chewed on another eave. Our contractor replaced the rotten wood and filled the second hole, but the squirrels could easily hop back onto the roof from our huge oak tree and find another way in. To discourage that, we needed to have a huge limb removed from above the second story roof. I called our landscaper who recommended an arborist. The arborist was booked for six weeks and recommended Charles. I called and was told he would stop by and take a look and try to squeeze us in. Within an hour or two, while our contractors were still working on the attic and the roof he came by and gave me an estimate. He returned two days later and with his two helpers blew away our leaves (a real bonus!) and then picked up all the twigs that fell. He actually climbs the tree without cleats so the tree is fine and there's no cherry picker damage to the lawn. He worked fast and knew what he was doing. He even made a safety suggestion about the way our contractor was using a ladder, which I really appreciated.

I found Douglas Tree Service on Angie's list with high reviews.  I called him in September, but we were both planning to be out of town, so I was told he would call back when he returned.  He returned my call and we scheduled an appointment for him to look at the work and give an estimate.  He showed up when he said he would, and gave me an estimate that I was very pleased with.  Again, I was going to be out of town, so he told me he would call after my return date.  Although it was a little later than I expected, it worked out very well.  He came at the appointed time, with two helpers.  Since all the leaves had fallen off, so we could easily see which branches needed to be trimmed.  He discussed the trimming with me before he started and checked with me on one or two questions.  The crew blew all the leaves to out of my backyard fence to the curb just in time for leaf pickup.    (A bonus since the tree wasn't trimmed until all the leaves had fallen!)  Great job.  I would definitely use them again.

The company was true to their estimate, called the night before to say they would begin as they said they would, and clean-up was impeccable. The part that REALLY impressed me however, came after all that. This is the first time I had a tree removed, and did not understand that leaving the debris from the stumps is the industry standard. Charles (the owner) not only took responsibility for the confusion, he removed the debris from the largest stump and insisted he would do it for free! Their handling of my situation was above and beyond what needed to be. I would highly recommend them!

Charles and his crew were fantastic.  The entire process was very professional from the estimate, in which Charles offered numerous suggestions and options to save money to the work performed and the cleanup.  The speed in which they completed the project was impressive.  I can't imagine using another tree service besides Charles Douglas. I was that impressed.

Charles, the owner, came out one day, gave us the estimate and showed up right on time and did a fantastic job. Great company! Great People!

We recently moved into a home that had many trees long neglected and numerous dead trees. When Charles came out to estimate our property he provided me with an thorough education on tree health signs as we reviewed the dead and dying trees that were close to our home. In addition to the tress in danger of falling on the home we also had others that were further out on the property and were also dead or dying.  
Charles worked with me on my budget and was able to come up with a fair price to do all the trees in 2 batches.  First the trees that might cause damage and then removal of the trees for aesthetic purposes at a later date.  I never felt pressured and he never recommended trees be removed that were not in danger of striking the home.
Charles was one of 3 providers we had out to estimate and we chose his team due to his expertise, honesty, reviews on Angies List, and competitive price.
Today they came for the first batch and did a great job.  No damage was done to the property and they cleaned up extremely well after themselves.  In addition to the safety, it is amazing how much nicer the property looks with the sick trees out of the way giving us a clear view into the forest.
I will definitely be using Charles Douglas for round 2.

Everything from tree removal and tree trimming to storm damage / yard clean-up.  Everytime our expectations have been met or exceeded.  Very fast with the best clean-up ever before they leave the property.  We would definately hire again, and highly reccomend to anyone needing tree service.

Charles Douglas and his crew arrived promptly, cut the trees, hauled away the wood, and very thoroughly cleaned up the cutting area.
Mr. Douglas runs a first-class operation.  His truck and equipment were clean and well-maintained, and it was obvious that he wanted to do the job to our satisfaction.
