"I think it was fine. Actually, my wife coordinated that one but I don't think we have any problems with it. I'm not sure if we paid extra charge aside from the deal because  I wasn't at home when the guy came out to do the job. We've used them before and they are the one who installed the water system in our house. "We met Chris and Caleb with an inch of water on the floor and a lot of frustration. They first got the 1yr old sump running again to drain the water down. Then the diagnosed the issue with the failed pump and replaced it quickly for approx $500. "Quickly after purchasing Angie's List deal, the owner called to schedule an appointment, which was a few days later. The installer showed up on time and quickly assessed the situation of my current heater and it's location. Due to my water softener partially in the way of the heater, he decided to remove the door to the closet instead of moving the softener, which saved him time and me money. After checking the dimensions, he was able to reuse my old heater stand, which I also appreciated. With the new water heater designs, he had to do some slight modifications to the copper lines to the house for proper fitment. After making sure there were no leaks, he reinstalled the door and checked to make sure it operated correctly. Overall, he did exactly as he said he'd do in the time allotted for the appointment. I will certainly call Simply Water again for any plumbing needs."

"Promptness was my major complaint. Pennington would say he would make it by the weekend, for example, to pick up the tub, and never show or call. It took many calls and reminders before connections were made. This went on multiple times throughout the course of the project. On the plus side, he had a cell, and would almost always pick up when I called, so at least I could touch base. After he took the tub, he said he should have it back in about two weeks. It was probably closer to two months. But apart from that, his price was lower than anyone else's I called. And from what I can tell, he did a good job. The tub looks good -- especially considering what he started with. He had to take off a layer of paint that someone had put on the inside of the tub, and the outer surface was unfinished and rough. Although if I had it to do over again I might ask how much extra to put enamel on the outside surface as well, instead of the dull white coating that was put on. Pennington made no complaints or extra charges for taking the tub up the steps, which was a challenge. And the capper -- once they brought the tub back, his son and helper insisted on putting on the new hardware I had to hook up to the drain for no charge. Even when I couldn't find all the pieces, they went to their truck and used their own hardware to finish the job."

"Mid-summer I began looking for a contractor to get us hooked up to city water. Rishel was the first I talked to. He came out and gave me the price. I contacted others who offered pricing but were not interested in the project. They referred me back to Rishel not knowing that I had already talked with him.
The difficulty and expense of the project was because when the water main was extended past our home a couple of years before it had to be put in with directional boring. This put the 18and quot; main nine feet below grade and on the other side of College Avenue. Rishel had the equipment and expertise to handle our job without cutting the road.
Over the next couple of months we were in constant contact. To do the job Rishel would have to put equipment on the lawn of the apartment complex across the street from us. He wanted to do the job at a time when they were less likely to cause lawn damage for the apartment complex or for us..
It was early October when that time arrived and we agreed on a day for them to begin. Their equipment arrived early on the designated morning and work began. The layout of the job was explained in detail to me and I was able to visualize the work and follow it as it progressed. The workers were efficient, extremely careful in all that they did. The work progressed seamlessly over the three days it took.
When they finished they left minimal evidence that they had been here. The necessary excavations for meter pit and tie in to the house were minimal and refilled back to ground level plus settling material left.
I was positively impressed by the expertise and caring with which the whole project was done. I certainly would recommend Rishel
to anyone needing excavation work.
