We met Chris and Caleb with an inch of water on the floor and a lot of frustration. They first got the 1yr old sump running again to drain the water down. Then the diagnosed the issue with the failed pump and replaced it quickly for approx $500. We discussed the backup system at the time but I honestly couldn't impulse that much and I wanted to review options. Waited 5 weeks and reviewed other options only to came back to the professional solution offered. Also realized the quote (under $2K) was actually very reasonable for the dual battery complete backup we had installed .. more of an investment than a bandage.

The job took a couple of hours because Conrad had to go get a part, but he took care of it and the water dispenser is working great. He removed the old hose and setup and replaced everything with all-new parts. He drilled a new hole in the floor so that the hose would be lined up right. We always call them for plumbing, because their prices are very reasonable, they know our systems, and they're very conscientious.

The installation went well, but afterwards I not getting any water pressure. I was calling the back out complaining, because I thought it was the water heater. The owner Chris came out and was relentless on finding the problem, which was not the water heater, but the water softener. I was not fair in the beginning , giving this company full consideration because, they were a referral and I had not heard of them, but I will not hesitate to use them again for plumbing need. Excellent service.

They sent out a person that was not certified, and he broke the pipe flooding my basement. The warranty company had to take care of sending out 2 other plumbers to verify that the damage was done by the initial plumber, and another company had to fix this damage. I have tried to contact Cindy about repairing the drywall that had to be cut open, and have had no response from them for 2 weeks.
Response from The Plumbing Co Inc
"First of all, we find this to be an unfortunate situation and our attitude is always to know truth of any situation, in life and in business. We understand that each person has a perspective. But with this situation the truth was ignored- We did attempt to mitigate this situation. But was met with assumptions by the client that were absolutely NOT true. The client was resistant and disconnected to hearing us, and chose to take the position to NOT receive our expertise to inform her of the reality of the hidden and unforeseen problem that was met by the TECH; and the tech was absolutely qualified for the service performed. Our company came there to solve a problem NOT to create one. We also take issue with the other plumbing service companies that followed up, and that the client took their opinion but would NOT listen to us. We discovered that the kitchen had been remodeled or updated and that it was NOT done by a licensed professional, nor performed under a permit or inspection, and also that best practices or code compliance were NOT used in the use of the plumbing fitting installation.[We were NOT a part of this remodel] Basically, an unskilled handyman or home owner performed this pre-existing drainage work. Thus, a drainage problem occurred in the drain [blockage] setting up any tech for a greater hidden issue that was behind finish floor and drywall- NO one could see this drainage configuration because it was hidden. The follow up companies held back this information because they did NOT bother to truly investigate. They didn't even recognize [before their eyes] the violation of the fitting installation and inform the client which is a requirement of a professional. This information was imperative and should have been a part of the conversation towards a solution. But the client shut us out and wanted to hand us a bill for us to blindly pay. We are an Angie's List Super Service Award company. Did we all of the sudden decide NOT to be? There is an honesty, a quality, and a craftsmanship to be at a level to receive the award. These things are who we are. Why did we NOT respond when this first happened? We would NOT respond to someone who would NOT listen to us and chose to ONLY listen to what benefited them. We wanted to work together with the client- we had important information but the client ignored the truth and who was truly responsible for the kitchen drain problem in the first place. Now it’s been 5 years and we are still a 5 Star and A rated company-strong in business with a resume of excellence and solving problems for the people of Central Indiana. We are NOT arrogant- We are people that care. But who has warm fuzzies when being shut out and lied about? We are addressing this because we have had an enormous outcry from our clients that they want to give us A ratings on Angie's List because of our caring business model. We have NOT hidden this situation from any of our clients of why, they or others, can NOT find us on Angie's List. The plumbing industry is notorious for using fear of lost services and health at risk situations to take advantage of people. We and others are fighting that for Hoosiers. The Truth: The Plumber protects the health of the Nation! It is the way."

The plumber from the Plumbing Company came to our home with no work order and asked my father-in-law what he was there to do, even though I had spoken with Cindy at length about our issues. After looking at our water heater and telling us that 20 minutes of hot water from a 55 gallon water heater was normal but that we would still see an improvement if we had them service it. This makes little sense, so we decided to figure that out later. As for the sewage backing up in our basement the plumber needed to take the cap off of the clean out pipe on the side of the house. They reported to me that since it was nine degrees outside the cap was frozen shut and could not be opened. They would need to come back on a warmer day. Cindy informed me that each visit was $100.
When I came home that night and spoke with my father-in-law about how unprepared, unprofessional and unable to plumb the plumber was we decided to go with another company immediately. We had another plumber come out that night, as the problem was worsening, and in colder weather the clean out cap was able to be removed, miraculously. Since then we have had the other plumber do a considerable amount of work for us and we are happy with their service...
As for Cindy and the folks from the Plumbing Company, we received an invoice on 1/29 to pay the $100 for nothing. Yesterday, February 2nd, I received another text message saying I had received the invoice. Today I received a call from Cindy asking when I would pay the $100. As we just bought the home and immediately had a gigantic plumbing overhaul within three months, money has been a little tight. I asked if we could pay it in four $25 installments, since again, it was for nothing. I was told by Cindy that "we have been kind for too long. We need the $100 right now". She informed me how accommodating they had been, generously deciding not to bill my "relative" on the day of the service and how they needed the money immediately (On the day of service we were told that they would have to check with the HSA to see if the visit was covered, so generosity didn't come into play with this decision, logistics did). Still, we pay our bills, so I asked again if we could pay them in installments. Cindy became very unprofessional with me and informed me that they could put our HSA on hold and we'd "lose our Home Warranty" for failure to pay. She informed me that she has done this to "many" homeowners, shedding light on the fact that this seems to happen quite often. When I asked her what exactly we were paying for, since we accommodated them and their inability to schedule an appointment for us, as well as their inability to pop the cap off of our clean out, she reminded me that they couldn't because of the weather. When I said that someone came out later that evening and was able to do what they couldn't she told me, in all seriousness, that the temperature was 40 degrees warmer that night. Had she consulted any weather reporting agency she would clearly see that it hasn't been 50 degrees all year. Within an hour I received a call from a representative of our HSA who asked me why I had refused to pay for the services I had solicited. I was told that Cindy informed the HSA that I had the invoice for over a month and refused to pay (not true). I was told that the HSA would pay the Plumbing Company and that they would put it on hold. I informed the HSA agent that these were untruths and was told they'd figure it out with Cindy. As of now I haven't heard back. We called Cindy back and were hung up on.
All in all I would not recommend this company for any reason and am at a loss as to why the HSA even uses them. They started out pleasantly enough, but quickly became unprofessional,  threatening, and now bordering on harassing. We are dealing with the HSA and will never be contacting this company again for any reason.

Needless to say it went horrible. They totally messed up my hot water heater. Now I am out another $300 for a new plumber. The professionalism of this company is the worst. I have never been treated so bad by a company. They did not want to own up to their mistakes and refused to refund my money even though two other plumbing companies have verified they totally screwed up! So disappointed. The owner is rude and so disrespectful and takes his sweet time getting anyone out. He diagnosed my problem over the phone without even coming out to my home then told me I needed to spend another couple hundred dollars to fix his mess up. Repeatedly told me that I was a liar and I don't listen. Also, told my husband that he doesn't care he is a veteran.

She was contracted by The Plumbing Company to do this job, and she was great. She got here quickly (it's our only toilet) and got right to work. It took a while to clear out the blockage, and she thought there was still probably something out of her reach that might be causing the problem. She recommended that we check further down the line to get a permanent fix. Since this service call, we have had no further problems, but we hope to have that additional work done soon.

Chris O' Conner and his team are the best plumbers I've ever dealt with over my 60 year years. Professionalism, explanations before and after, trustworthy, cleaned things up when finished. I've used them at least 20 times over the last couple years and they have always been consistent. I've recommended them to many friends who have used them and found the same results.

The master plumber and owner of the company, Chris, was the one who came out. His job was to reset the toilets and hook up the water line and draining system once the sink was installed. The previous company I had out, Bedell plumbing, had repaired a copper pipe incorrectly and used a shortcut to make a quick fix. Instead of sautering it, he installed a cufflink, like a bandage. I didn't realize this at the time. Chris showed up 8:30-9 pm, on his own time, to my house and told me that the other company had messed up and it was eating him up. He came in and brought his own material, reaplced the copper pipe, sautered the pipe, giving me a permanent fix. He is extremely honest. He didn't even ask for money for the project. He said that it was the right thing to do. I was really moved by his kindness and how he looked out for my mother. It wasn't even part of the insurance claim and he donated his time and materials for this fix. I was also looking for a way to remove the copper piping corrosion, and he gifted me a box of Sand Cloth, which took care of it. He used only premium products. I can really trust this company. His wife, Cindy, told me that they don't own the company, God owns the company. We would never have known about this company with the contractor. I'm so thankful that we had him. The contractor is the one who knows all the good companies. The company works late, as well, which is convenient for homeowners, so that they don't have to make a trip home for the plumber.

The Team at The Plumbing Company are excellent to work with! They were constantly in contact with us about the progression of our project, made expert recommendations on materials, and worked at all hours to make sure we stayed on time. All personnel are personable and have their customer's interest at heart. Their work is professional, accurate, and precise, which are all imperative for a plumbing job. From start to finish, The Plumbing Co was the first mechanical contractor on our site and was the last to leave. We are ecstatic about the service they provided us and have found our new friend's in plumbing.

Once again we have put a project into the hands of Chris and his crew and once again they delivered. They came aboard another bathroom remodel to handle the plubing and the setting of the shower stall. Everything was handled smoothly with our remodeler and we are once again pleased with the results.
They are our plumbers from here on out and we recommend them to anyone that asks!

I initially contacted Cindy on 11/12/2012. I had to leave a message and she called me back in a day or 2. I explained what I wanted and she asked if I wanted it done before Thanksgiving. I advised no, but I would like it done by Christmas. She said Chris would need to stop by and see exactly what I wanted and she would check with him and then let us know when he could come by. Christmas came and went and we did not hear back from them. We went on vacation in January and when we returned we called them again the first of February. Chris and his helper did stop by in the next few days and we determined what type of sink and faucet I wanted. Chris said it should be in stock and he would have Cindy call me about setting up a time for the next week. I didn't hear from them that week and when I called the next week Cindy said they had to order the sink and it would be in in 3 weeks which would be 3/11/13. It finally came in later than estimated and Conrad came to install on 3/23/2013. He pulled my old sink and faucets and was putting plumbing together on new sink when he discovered the sink was defective. They said they would have to reorder and would contact me when they received it. Long story long, the new sink was finally delivered and installed on 4/10/2013. We do realize that the defective sink was not their fault but the whole experience was very frustating. In the end, we were pleased with the product and the installation. Conrad did a very nice job installing and cleaning up.
Overall, customer service and communication were not the best.

It was great. We had called at least 5 people over the course of 2 days because we had no water (we had to shut it off due to a leak). Cind called back quickly and told me the boys were coming back in later in the day and she would try to get me worked into the end of their day. I arrived home at about 7:00 and Conrad had already met my Wife, gotten into the crawlspace and completed the work. He was very professional and explained what led to our issue and how he remedied the problem.
Great expreience overall. They will be our plumbing company from now on!
Thanks to all of you!

Mid day the Wednesday before Thanksgiving my water heater went out. I called and spoke with them and the assured me that they would get this installed that day so I could have water for the holiday. I was advised that there were several other scheduled calls and a couple of other emergency calls but they would restore water to the house asap. As there was not water leaking and it wasn't an emergency, it was late but they showed as promised. Myself and my wife was relieved to see them. Chris took a look at the job and and quickly got to work. He first laid tarps on the carpet as to not track anything throughout the house :]. Within no time at all the job was completed and he did a final check on things. I as well took a look at the work and was very impressed in not only the job that he did but the cleanup as well. I would have never even known that he was here.
I was VERY pleased with the bill. The charge was unbelievably competitive for standard service throughout normal business hours but this service that was preformed after hours and into the holiday was a 70% less than another company that quoted the job. I guess there are still a few people in the world that still believes in making an and quot;honestand quot; buck. I have a plumber for life!! I look forward to some very near project that will involve this company. Thanks for the great service!

The experience was excellent from their being able to accommodate us expediciiously to the excellence of the man who performed to task, and the lady on the phone who arranged for it to occur expediciously.
I called one highly rated plumber, and was told that I would have to wait for a couple of days. I called the second one onthe list given to me onver the phone. The llady who answered the phone explained the time, and the costs. I was thrilled that she believed that the firm would have someone on that day come to take care of the stuck garbage disposal.
At about 5:00 th eplumber arrived. He asked a few questions, proceeded to check out the problem, found th epenny, removed the penny, and the garbage sidposer had been fine since.
