"We signed a contract on 10/20 with Jason from Prestige and gave him half of the money to start. He cashed the check on 10/22 and was supposed to give us a time frame of when the work would be started by 10/31. It's almost 3 weeks later and everytime we call him, he'll text that he'll get back to us but never does. One time he said he'd call back in 20 minutes. We heard nothing. I didn't expect them to start immediately but communication is very important. This was a big job and he was paid $24,000 for supplies, etc. The lack of any communication is a terrible way to do business and so far he tells us he'll call us back and has never followed through. I'd hate to see what he's like with a job if he can't even call back before the job starts. We'll be calling next week to have him return the money. And we'll be finding our own contractor. The other contractor through Angi set up appts then were a no call, no show until the next day when they rescheduled. Angi failed us. "

"He came out and figured up the materials needed and we negotiate a price. I left him a check because I was not going to be available later and didn't want him to wait on payment. He called later that day and said he underestimated the crack filler and it could cost me an additional 500 dollars ( keep in mind his bid was 600 dollars, so almost double). I told him to just finish sealing black top. I went to lowes Sunday ( that is 20 minutes away) and bought 2 gallons of crack filler and a couple plastic puddy knives for 24 dollars and finished the job myself. I'm 65 years old and have a knee replacement is why I hired him in the first place. My mistake was to leave him a check, I feel that's why he didn't fulfill his contract."
