"The work we scheduled with A&J was great. Nice job cleaning the house and an extremely good price. They also power washed the driveway the same day at my request, also at a great price. My only criticism is that we requested a quote for painting the deck after they power washed it down to the bare wood. we have yet to get a response after 2 tries at messaging the provided phone number. They are probably busy working due to the great price for their services, but it only takes a minute to reply. Either supply the quote as promised, or tell me you don't have time to do it. I'm assuming I will be staining the deck myself at this point. A reply would have been greatly appreciated."

"I worked with Mick on this job.  My free estimate was very professionally completed with detailed breakout of work to be done, inclusions, and specific exclusions.    All my questions were answered. My house is a 1950's U.S. Steel home with the original ceilings wood paneling.  There were multiple rough spots from heating, cooling & condensation that looked like water leakage and I wanted hidden in my living room.  Another ceiling had damage from when a limb had fallen over it and had a crack.  Another ceiling did have water damage and staining.  Mick gave me different options and explained the estimate did not include the time and materials.  Work scheduling was negotiated with great consideration for my schedule (I work at home) and needs of my multiple pets (cats and dogs).  
 
The cosmetic result on the cracked ceiling and the stained ceiling was good.  The large living room ceiling was difficult, the initial approach I had requested was a flat celing and skimming did not adequately hide the areas. After initial progress was not getting desired results, the workman brought this to my attention and suggested that they stop that afternoon and we re-evaluate with Mick.   I greatly appreciate their judgement as continuation would have been costly and very likely disappointing cosmetically.  Mick came to my home to inspect early the next day and we decided on a win-win result with a textured ceiling.  I am delighted with the outcome, it has given my living room new life.  The hallway did not meet expectations initially, was redone (2nd time) but a large stained area (which was not visible before the work) resulted.  Again, Mick came to my home and we talked through (looked like too much sanding and needed Kilz prior to final coat) and the remedial work (3rd time) was completed timely.  Though the execution was a little more convoluted than expected, the end results absolutely met or exceeded my expectations. 
The workmen did an adequate job of protecting my belongings from paint drips and dust.   Paintings taken down were replaced carefully and correctly.  They did damage one ceiling fan blade; this was immediately brought this to my attention and then completely replaced the broken area as well as replacing the hardward on the undamaged portions so that the fan would stay in balance.  It looks great and runs without "wobble" on high speed; I am satisfied with the repair.  All-in-all, there was much less disruption and dust throughout my house than when I had work done by one of the "big box" stores.  
 
Invoicing and payment was via the internet, very easy-to-use payment service.  The pricing and final total was reasonable given the complexity and quality of the work done.
Overall, the quality of the work and the great service definitely smoothed over the somewhat bumpy execution. I highly recommend working with Mick, he is very responsive and professional.   I have already contracted with Briteway to do some exterior painting later this year.
