George was willing to work with the ideas that I had for building the fire pit and patio.  He was very responsive during the project when I would stop him and ask questions, or suggest a different way to do the layout and design.  The patio and fire pit turned out nicely.  On the lawn work - seeding, mulching, leveling - I felt that George was trying to get done and get to another job, and maybe didn't spend as much time and care as I would have liked.  If you hire him for a job, be aware that he is pretty much a one man show, and is sometimes slow to respond to emails and calls, and can get behind schedule quickly when the weather is bad.

"I had called four different companies to provide estimates to fix my sump pump pipe that went out through the front of my home. Three estimates were somewhat close to each other in price and how to make the repair except for one which was very different. My friend recommended that I call a guy named Jonathan with WonDrain. He did drain repair for her boss and word spread fast around her office on how he did a fantastic job. Jonathan was the first one scheduled to meet with me and also the only one of them to show me with a borescope what was blocking the pipe. He was very funny and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain how everything worked and what to expect in the end from most companies. He marked in detail the pipes exact locations with depth in the yard to help the next company with their bid. I didn't know why he would do that and thought it was strange, but then he was a bit quirky. We hired WonDrain because not only were they less expensive by almost 20% but Jonathan was absolutely correct on how everyone would bid the job. The other 3 companies all bid the same way and Jonathan's reason why they did made sense. In the end and true to word of what my friend said not only did they cost less but they made my yard look so much better than it did before I had the problem pipe. My neighbor who had his pipe dug last year and still has a small pile of dirt left thought we hired a landscaping company and not a plumber."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

You have several options for your pond by getting your yard ready for the winter. You can winterize your koi pond by ensuring it’s at least 5 feet deep so it doesn’t freeze completely, installing a pond heater or aerator and having it run at all times, and installing a deicer if temperatures are dangerously low for an extended period. You can also choose to shut down your pond for the winter by removing all the wildlife in it and bringing it indoors, cleaning out the filter and pump, and then covering the pond with a tarp.

The average pond maintenance cost is $2,000. But how much you pay to take care of your pond depends on multiple factors, such as the size of the pond and whether fish live in it. Your area's climate also affects the overall maintenance cost, as you may need to winterize your pond to protect it and any aquatic life in it during the colder months.

Costs depend on design, materials, plumbing, labor, and optional lighting or filtration features.

Yes, many brands make models similar to endless pools with a range of features. Some companies feature temporary aboveground pools that imitate the effect of permanent installations. Small home pool spas—or spools—as well as lap pools and pools without propulsion designs for water aerobics are also available.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.
