"Craig was wonderful to work with. After leaving a voicemail to inquire about his services, I very shortly received a text that he was tied up at the moment but would be able to call me back a little later. When he arrived later that same day, he was very thorough in describing the workings of the system when I had some questions. He was very flexible in working around our schedule and was right on time. In dealing with the various systems of a home, finding a friendly and trustworthy service provider in each category can sometimes be an overwhelming process, with hits and misses along the way. The HVAC service category just got taken care of for me! I would use and recommend C2's services again without hesitation."

"He installed a digital thermostat for our very old gas furnace and AC. Although the furnace was very old, we wanted to keep it since we were about to sell the house. He agreed with our decision and he even help us on an unrelated home improvement project before he left!"

"If you're in need of remodeling services, you might want to consider Reality Remodeling LLC. the owner Cam is someone you can trust to get the job done right. Cam was punctual and left the jobsite clean, which is always a plus. More importantly, the work itself was top-notch. Cam completed a beautiful tile deck and was able to effectively install an efficient Hvac system in their home. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely hire Cam again. So, if you're looking for a reliable and skilled contractor, consider giving Reality Remodeling LLC a call!"

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Fixing a leak in an AC unit costs $200 to $1,600, depending on the type of leak and any related damage. But depending on the age and condition of your AC, it might make more sense to replace the AC unit instead of repairing it. If your AC is only a few years old and relatively problem-free, then repairing it is the right call. But if it’s nearing a decade old and has other issues, consider replacing it.

Though it may seem redundant, you can absolutely have a central AC unit and a window AC in your home. In fact, if you place a window AC unit near your central air, it can help move the cooler air throughout your home. But doubling up on your AC methods can get pricey, so factor in cost accordingly.

No, a furnace is not the same thing as an AC, or air conditioner, but these are both parts of an HVAC system. They both use air ducts to transport cool or hot air around your home to achieve a comfortable temperature set by your thermostat. An AC runs on electricity, while a furnace can use different fuel sources.

A blockage in the ductwork may prevent air from flowing through the vent. If some rooms in your home are very hot or cold and another isn't, that can be a sign that a vent is blocked. Another sign of a blockage is a buildup of dirt or dust around the vent. In either case, a duct installer or cleaning service can investigate the issue for you and recommend a course of action.

There are a few things you can do to make your AC repair technician’s job easier and your home more comfortable while you wait for AC repair:

  • Cut back trees, shrubs, and weeds around the outdoor compressor

  • Clear a pathway inside and outside to your AC components

  • Set up a ladder for attic access if necessary

  • Pull your window AC out of the window and place in an easily accessible spot

  • Supplement with fans and open windows to help keep your house comfortable
