"Good work in general; our basement no longer sees water for over 3 years now, which is the most important thing. But there were some real issues: The biggest issue is that USW did not adhere to local electrical codes, and did not arrange for a final inspection of the project. So we didn't find out that it wasn't to code until years later, and now it's a big hassle and minor cost to fix and get the permits. Ask your local gov yourself what you need to do for permits and inspections; don't rely on USW! USW said they would seal any foundation cracks found along the way; they didn't do this until I bugged the warranty dept about it (but they did do it eventually). USW sent someone out for the "annual checkup"... over 2 years after the install. It's a good thing they (eventually) did, because they discovered the backup battery wasn't charging. Now I know to check this stuff better myself. Prices also vary wildly and are kind of negotiable (I'd give more detail but I'm out of space)"

They sent a totally incompetent plumber in his place, claimed he couldn't do the work, because he was afraid of cracking our tile. He sat around for hours at our house trying to figure out how to put the shower head in. He had to call two other experienced plumbers to get it hooked up. Fast forward to today- first time using the shower the valve only goes from scalding hot to ice cold. Sink fixtures leaking into the bottom of the vanity. Same guy comes back out and says we have a faulty valve. we go the same day to get a new valve- they return again saying it still doesn't work- instead quotes us an extra 800 dollars to get it to work- We kicked them out- will hire someone else- What a joke"

During our meeting he took the time to explain the process that his company uses. Once the permits were issued the crew arrived the next morning at 7:00 a.m. as promised. The crew met the deadline for a 1:30 inspection from the Village of Deerfield. They not only met the deadline but they passed the inspection without any issues to be corrected. The crew worked until 7:00 p.m. completing the job. I would also note that they left my home spotless!"
