Adam A. Ross started his career in the Cleaning & Restoration industry over 21 years ago. What started as a simple idea, quickly grew into his first business endeavor at the age of 21. Adam believed that if you offer a quality service at competitive prices, you are bound to build a successful, long-lasting business. In 2005, he decided to sell his first company, a small carpet and upholstery cleaning business located in Northeastern Indiana. Ross Cleaning & Restoration opened in 2007, with the same commitment to quality, honesty, and integrity but focused on additional services that would help develop a stronger footprint in the community. Today, Ross is known throughout Northeast Indiana as one of the industry’s best Home Restoration Contractors and Carpet Cleaning Companies – but don’t just take our word for it, Angie’s List and Fort Wayne Newspapers agree! Over the past 19 years, the services provided have diversified and the team has grown but that same commitment to consistent quality is still alive. Ross Cleaning & Restoration is dedicated to ongoing training and certifications for its team members and continually explores new services to meet customer needs and to remain an industry leader.

"Very bad customer service they lie about their pricing. They don?t have good face."

We are a second generation company that has been serving the Fort Wayne area for over 50 years. We are fully licensed & insured. There is a difference with Old Fort Roofing, LLC. We educate our customer on all of our products and services. We want them to make decisions that fit their needs and the ones that really make sense. Building long time relationships and referrals is what our company has been built on.

"We could not be more pleased with the work done by Old Fort Roofing. Scott, the owner, is very personable, calm and relaxed. No pressure at all. His crew was also very nice and left our property spotless. They went above and beyond by even repainting our two chimneys without extra charge. It is a pleasure to recommend them most highly."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

You don’t need to remove old insulation before adding new insulation. As long as the old insulation is still in good shape—not wet, physically damaged, or moldy—then you can stack new insulation on top of old insulation to get a compounding effect. You can also mix different types of insulation, like adding blown-in insulation around existing fiberglass batt insulation or installing rigid insulation boards over rafters in your attic that already have batt insulation installed. If your existing insulation is very old or damaged, though, you’ll likely see more benefit from removing it and replacing it instead.

As long as your existing insulation isn’t compromised, you can add new insulation directly over them. Inspect your insulation thoroughly and make any minor repairs. Then, add new insulation on top of it. You must be completely certain that there is no contamination or mold growth before doing so. That said, when unsure, consider removing old insulation and lay down fresh ones.

If you feel your energy bills are too high or your HVAC system is working harder than necessary to maintain the correct temperature in your home, you may have an under-insulated home. If you’re unsure, consider having your system’s efficiency assessed by a local independent energy auditor.

You don’t need to staple insulation, as your drywall and studs will hold it into place. But if you already have a staple gun and staples lying around, it can help keep the product in place and avoid any shifting. But, most experts agree it’s an unnecessary step.

If you’re adding a vapor barrier, you will need to staple that in place.

Selling a house with spray foam insulation can be challenging due to concerns about improper installation or its compatibility with the home's structure. If not applied correctly, spray foam can cause issues such as moisture buildup, cracking, or damage to wiring and plumbing. If the insulation didn't cure correctly, there are also flammability concerns. Removing or repairing this type of insulation can pose risks as well.
