Part of the reason we ended up buying a subscription to Angie's List has to do with carpet cleaning. We ordered a special based on a newspaper ad, and ended up doing about half of the guy's work, paying him more than the agreed-upon price, not getting very good results, and he even stole a vacuum from us. No, I'm not kidding. So to be blunt, I was a little skeptical about carpet cleaning companies in general. But we are now just about a month from the birth of our second child, and both of us really wanted to at least try to have the carpets cleaned up before the baby arrives. We scheduled services with Matt N., who was both professional and courteous. I don't know who thinks beige carpet is a good idea. Nobody should ever have beige carpet. Our started looking dirty shortly after we moved into our home four years ago, just from general day to day shoe/foot dirt and (in particular) grease from our cooking in the kitchen. Our first child is now three and has also occasionally "decorated" with markers and crayons. And yes, I tried the Magic Eraser, carpet cleaner sprays, even vinegar, but had absolutely zero success in taking the purple out of our beige carpet. Carpet Care Experts was at our home for about an hour and a half, and performed a transformation for our carpets that I believe borders on miraculous. All of the dirt, grime, grease, and markers came out of our stupid beige carpet. In fact, I sincerely believe that the carpet now looks better than it did when we first bought our house. I would certainly hire this company again, and recommend them without hesitation. Their work was superior, and I am glad we had the opportunity to do business with them. He left my kitchen in a dangerous condition. The light fixture over the kitchen island was dangerously low over the cooktop. The wiring was left unfinished behind the replaced receptacle covers, including the wiring to the refrigerator. He left every plumbing connection barely finger tight, so that when I started using the kitchen, everything leaked and flooded. The dishwasher hose was crimped and destroyed. I had to hire an after hours electrician to at least get the refrigerator running, and they returned the next day to finish everything else, including rehanging the light fixture. He left several four-foot flourescent light tubes topheavy in a plastic garbage can in the garage, and while I was still attempting to reset breakers in the garage, my hip brushed the light tubes and they shattered all over the garage floor. My young son was present. The decorator was in the house and heard the crash, and she came out to sweep up the glass. I was cut. I suffer from a back condition as well, and when the glass light tubes shattered, I immediately stooped to try to clean up the glass to protect my son, and caused myself great pain. The decorator told me that as soon as we had left for vacation, he demanded more money. When she asked him why, so that she could tell us a reason, he became very hostile and yelled at her that he had been in the business for 40 years, and he had a great better business bureau rating, and she had no business questioning him about anything. I knew nothing about this until after he was "finished" and left my home. It took weeks before everything was fixed. My son was injured by the sharp edge of tile he left along the counter top. Mr. Marks' behavior was downright juvenile and malicious. I strongly recommend against using PRM or Paul Marks for any kind of work. I have eyewitnesses to all this, including the electricians and plumbers who had to repair everything once Mr. Marks was gone. I have held off commenting on here, because of his hostility and juvenile lack of accountability. By commenting, I feel that I may be placing myself and my household in danger, but a business person should not be able to do someone like he did us and then go on about his life as if it never happened. I have photographic evidence as well as the testimony of others. I suggest that Mr. Marks keep this in mind. After that, all of the contractors from across the country, it seemed, appeared on our doorsteps. At first, I did not think I had suffered enough damage to warrant bothering with repairs. All that I saw was one small area of my garage where hail bounced off the trash can and left scrape marks on the garage wall. ...I was naive! While my across the street neighbor was getting repairs from Alliance Restoration and Consulting (ARAC), they walked over and offered to do a free inspection, and I reluctantly consented. Low and behold, they pointed out the considerable damage to my house--damage my untrained eyes did not notice. They also informed me as to the ?rules? of insurance companies about when damage must be fixed, otherwise, if several years went by before the hail damage to the roof resulted in leaks, causing further damage to ceilings, I was out of luck when it comes to insurance paying for the damage. I was convinced that repairs must be tended to. As I suspected, my neighbor had done his homework prior to hiring ARAC to do the repairs on his house, and I relied on his research into the company on their quality of work and reliability, over the other contractors arriving literally by the dozens. Therefore, I signed the contract with ARAC. ARAC was present when my insurance adjuster arrived to provide an estimate of the damage, and thankfully, they scrutinized the estimate when it was prepared and presented to me. If I had been the only one to determine and negotiate these repairs, sadly, only about half of my house would be restored, resulting in a poor combination of new-old that would have looked horrible. They succeeded in getting the insurance adjuster back and negotiated their cost for doing the work, as well as convincing the insurance company to restore the entire house and garage so it would not look like a patchwork quilt. The subcontractors for ARAC did a beautiful job, and especially for the roofers, they meticulously made sure that there were no nails or scraps left anywhere. In the end, I got a new roof, siding, gutters and downspouts, and all of the ?trimmings,? such as new decorative shutters and outdoor lights. The house looks beautiful--all the neighbors have commented! I did not have a lot of ready cash for my insurance deductable, but they worked with me to my immense satisfaction and saved me a bunch of money. I could not be happier with the work completed by ARAC. And, I must say that I really enjoyed Craig?s diligent follow-up and checking in with me about the progress on my house, but better yet [sorry Craig!], was the watchful eye of his dad, Bill, who I now consider a friend. Bill stopped by the house frequently, sometimes daily, even after the completion of the work to double-check on on-going work and my satisfaction with the work after it was completed. Hopefully, in a few years I will have the opportunity--the finances--to enclose my front porch or build a back porch. Without a doubt, ARAC will be my first choice of who to call, and despite my skeptical nature, I trust this family-based company!"},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/in/noblesville/arac-roof-it-forward--indianapolis-reviews-8355255.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Roto-Rooter","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IN","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Diane P."},"reviewBody":"They had actually been out on Memorial day when the kitchen sink was backed up. Duane was the technician who was out on both occasions and was just the friendliest and most courteous person. The second technician who came during July 5th (Greg) was also very nice and friendly. I was very glad I had called these guys to begin with especially when it was during the holidays. I got through to their scheduler and they were very courteous and informative with ETA and schedules. For what they had to do with this older house and plumbing the cost was very reasonable. Holiday Decorating reviews from real Angi homeowners in Dublin, IN
They were amazing! When we first called, it was before a holiday weekend, and they came as fast as they could. Once the problem was found, we weighed our options, and were never pressured to decide on which way to go. New furnace was ordered, and Paul personally brought heaters to our home to...
I contacted three companies, but only JUD Construction responded to my request for an estimate. I met with the sales representative and I signed the contract on 08/08/2016. The work began on 08/29/2016 (ahead of schedule! ) and was completed on 09/21/2016 (not including the Labor Day...

Hey, I'm Lance! I became a professional online portrait artist in 2006 after my family was taken from me in a tornado losing my mother, father, brother, and son. Twenty-eight lives were taken as well as all their possessions, like mine. I drew from destroyed photos their families so they could have memorial portraits of them at the funerals and for the rest of time. Since then I have made a living traveling the country doing shows and drawing from photos you email me on line. There is NO GIFT more unique that brings more tears of joy to a loved one's eyes like one of these. Nothing. I've seen it time and time again. I make it affordable to anyone who's ever wanted one of these. Paintings with half the detail of these can cost upwards of $30,000 limiting something like this from hanging in living rooms for families to the rich only. Not anymore. Here's how it works.. Simply email me your favorite picture or pictures to [email protected] with a brief description of what you would like done. The bigger and clearer the picture the better the drawing. I will start an initial sketch right away and take pictures of it and show it to you. Please email them quickly if possible, because the holidays are coming and I get busy. Once the initial sketch is done. I usually take something down on it. It's a lot of work doing the initial sketch. This varies on the cost of the drawing which we will discuss right away. Drawings are usually 175 for 9x12's 225 for 11x14's 275 for 14x17's After this process is done I continue with your art piece sending you photos on line all the way through which many people find a lot of fun. I am also friends on Facebook with almost every person I've ever drawn for as well and would like to be your friend as well if you would like that. I post them on FB at your discretion. It makes me way more legit to people as well. The Prices vary with the art because of the size of the drawing as well as the number of faces. The number of faces DOES NOT double the cost. Usually an extra face is added depending on the size from anywhere between 25 and 50, but I do deals on these more than anything, so please call me about it at .(850) 691-3976
