"The basement door was at the bottom of a concret stairs leading down into the basement.  Water and debris collected there and the makesift wooden door was in terrible shape.  Local pests had chewed through the door to store pine cones inside for the winter.  The door was cut down to fit the opening and an odd size.  The new door is steel with a non-rotting frame covered with aluminum.  It will probably last longer than I will.  The house is 80 years old.  I had all of the windows replaced with easy to use, energy efficient double pane windows.  Again, the new windows will probably out last me.  I am very pleased with the helpful response I got from Kevin, the salesman.  The carpenter, Buck, is very good and did an outstanding job installing the windows and the very difficult basement doors.  I am very pleased with the work and the overall cost.  I got a discount for Angie's List and also a senior citizens discount.  They will be my first choice for any additional work in the future.

He was also very knowledgeable about how to soft wash our brick to not cause damage and recommended some bleach for our algae and ant problem by our windows that was covered by shrubs when we first moved in.
