"I hired AMG to remove a stump and they not only removed the stump they went above and beyond and took care of the entire root system so the gas company could bury our line. If I ever need tree service again I am calling them for sure."

"Kevin and only one other worker cut down and removed 5 trees, This was done over 2 days, They worked about 5 hours the first and had to stop because some rain was coming, they finished the next day in about 5 hours, I will hire him again in the future since I have more trees to remove, They did a great job and raked up and all branches, He did not drive any of his heavy equipment over the yard where my septic field was."

"I have a 30 year old Magnolia tree that needed trimming, and I was very afraid to let someone trim it because I don't want to lose the tree. Dino and his crew came out, assessed the job and came promptly on the service date. He also suggested trimming the front trees. He took care of all of them and did a great job. Very happy with the service and would definitely refer them or hire them again if needed."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Transporting a fully-grown tree requires heavy equipment, typically specialized for the task. A tree spade is a truck-mounted tool that removes the tree from the ground in one location, transports it, and places it in a new hole in a new location. A combination of mechanized shovels and lifts is necessary to move very large trees, and the exact tools often depend on location and the surrounding area.

Planting trees far enough from your foundation will protect your home from root damage, but if you’re dealing with existing trees, you can still guard against roots. Root barriers form a physical boundary that will prevent roots from encroaching on your foundation and can help save you from expensive foundation repair costs.

Palm tree stumps can take as long as seven to ten years to rot naturally. Whereas some tree stumps rot within a year, palm trees tend to last longer due to their deep root networks. Chemical rotting (described above) can help speed the process up so your palm tree stumps rot in under two months.

If you’re taking down a tree that you don’t suspect is affected by disease or pests and it’s nowhere near your home or other structures, then calling in a tree company should work fine. However, anything more involved means an arborist is a better option. These pros have years of experience with tree removal and can safely take down trees located next to structures, and they have the tools, sanitization equipment, and experience to remove sick or dying trees without infecting nearby trees.

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.
