I highly recommend Rivas Tree Service. I just cannot say enough good things about them! Al came out to review my needs on the same day I contacted them, and provided a quote on the spot. The price he quoted was substantially better than the other quotes I received. Finally, they did an amazing job trimming my trees and shrubs, and did a great job cleaning up. I will definitely use them again!

Al and his crew showed up bright and early. Al patiently explained everything and was very polite and friendly. The crew worked very carefully yet quickly. The job went very well and the clean-up was fantastic. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

It went well. Once we finally connected, we got a date to do the work established. They had to postpone once due to weather but when they arrived, there were here on time. There were 4 people working in front and back yards. They worked quickly and cleaned up all branches, leaves, etc. They asked me first before trimming one branch that did not need it but it would have made the tree look awkward if not removed. Everything was explained both before and after and some general questions about possible future work were answered to my satisfaction.

It went very well, with the exception of the actual communication of when they were coming. We needed to plan when to take off work as they asked one of us to be here when they were as we had some specifics with the clean-up. Were two weeks later than committed and didn't respond when we ask what day they'd be here. Typical for this type of work / industry, I know. Outside of that, the work was phenomenal. They were professional, friendly and helpful throughout the process. The trees look amazing and they did the work efficiently and cleanly.

Unfortunately, about two dozen dead or dying trees on our property had to be removed. Most of them were ash trees infected with the emerald ash borer. Some of them were very large and very close to the house, making their removal especially challenging. We got a bunch of estimates and eventually decided to go with Al (Rivas Tree Service) because he seemed amazingly knowledgeable and attentive, and also gave us a very competitive quote. We couldn’t be more satisfied with the results! Al and his crew were absolutely great. I could observe what they were doing from my study window and I confess that I was so fascinated with their speedy, competent, [and scary] work that I didn’t manage to get much done that day. It was a wonderfully orchestrated unfolding of activities that resulted in the removal of almost all the trees in a long day of work. The crew came back the next morning to cut one remaining large ash tree and to do the final clean up. Thanks to their know-how and some amazing equipment they brought for the job, there was not the slightest damage to the property and the yard clean-up was meticulous. I should also note that they did some extra pruning work at no extra charge. Rivas has my strongest recommendation.

Upon noticing a tree in our backyard was leaning to a frantic phone call at 5pm on a Friday evening, Rivas Tree Service was great. They came out the next morning to exam the tree and removed it. Communication was great throughout the whole process. We will definitely use them for any future tree needs.

These folks know what they are doing and how to run a business. They showed up in vehicles that were obviously well maintained. The crew of 4 or 5 went right to work scaling the trees, removing the deadwood, thinning the branches, and hauling the resulting debris to their shredder vehicle parked in front of the house. They even blew away the leaves on the ground before beginning to insure they would not overlook any debris that fell from the trees. Their estimate was below another estimate I received, and as it turned out I had Rivas do much more work than originally scheduled. The total job for what finally included an additional half dozen smaller trees was still less than the competitive quote from another competitor who bid just on the two large hickory trees. The owner of Rivas was on the job with his crew, and I believe it really makes a difference. I would hire them again and recommend their service to anyone who inquires. Great work!!

We had a bit of trouble getting in contact with each other at first. But once we connected, it went smoothly. They were on time and brought plenty of workers. They were here for about an hour. They trimmed off all the deadwood and pruned back branches that were too close to the house and deck on the ash tree. They had a lot of lower limbs to trim on the linden tree as they were hanging very low and the tree needed reshaping. They asked my permission to trim a couple of limbs that were not too low, but would have made the tree look odd if they had been left as is. Their work really made a difference in the look and shape of the tree, and I can now see across the street and down the street with the tree trimmed up. I was pleased with the work they did.
