I made my inquiry through Angie's List website and I got a call back after a few days to set up an an appointment (I will note that some other vendors responded more quickly). Arborist showed up on time on the appointed day, was very professional, provided great information, and promptly sent a quote. The price was quite a bit higher than other vendors, so we selected some one else.

Good.... they are not cheap but extremely responsive which can not be said about too many companies in this field. If i have questions and want somebody to show up, they are prompt to talk about anything free of charge

We had a number of trees overhanging our roof, garage, and power lines, to the point that things were getting pretty dangerous in the event of a large storm. It took a couple of days to connect with Sav-A-Tree to get the initial appointment set up, but once we cleared that minor hurdle, everything was smooth sailing. The arborist explained what needed to happen, gave some good advice for future maintenance, and turned around a competitive bid quickly. When the crew was available, they were efficient about the work and did a VERY thorough job cleaning up. I'd absolutely hire them again in the future, and recommend them without reservation.

Excellent. Kevin came promptly at the time we'd set for him to look at the tree & give cost estimate for pruning & topping apple tree in my yard. I knew from previous experience that his crew would do excellent pruning & topping, and this time was no exception. They came & did a great job and were as usual efficient, professional, & responsive. Bravo, SaveATree crew! I don't know how the price compares with other tree companies but am very pleased with the work they did.

They burned and destroyed portions of our lawn. They refused to take responsibility and continued to be completely unprofessional even when I gave them the opportunity to correct the damage they had done. Stay far away from this poorly run business. Their district manager Andrew and Kevin both seem to think it’s appropriate to run a business on assumptions rather than facts. I always give people the benefit of a second chance but these people are THE WORST.

signed up for 5 lawn treatment only had 2 so far. Lawn looks pretty good even though no real rain in 2 weeks. I do however, attribute some of this to my landscaper as they do not cut the grass to low which would encourage weed growth. They are a bit expensive however, options for good quality reasonable priced third party lawn treatments do not exist in my area. at least none I can find. They normally have 6 treatments plans but i told them i only wanted 5. Companies i have used in the past would not budge on the number of treatments provided.

They fooled me into thinking it was alright to leave my tree stump in my yard.

"There seems to be some confusion. This member was very alarmed that "dangerous mushrooms" were growing on a stump in her yard. We assure her they were harmless, and also offered to remove the stump. She refused."

Went great. My fast-growing apple tree was beginning to look wild & messy so I called SavATree and arborist Kevin came a day or so later to view the tree and give a cost estimate for thinning & topping, or pruning. I don't know what the usual cost is for thinning & pruning, but I trust SavATree (having used their tree-care services in the past), so I readily accepted the emailed proposal. Early the following week SavATree's 2-man crew came promptly on time and did a beautiful job on the tree. The tree and I are happy.

They did such a good job. It was not cheap, actually I was in sticker shock, because we had it done a couple years ago for $300 with the same company. I have no idea really if this competitive. Their representative was extremely good. The crew of three that came, they came a few weeks sooner than anticipated. They did a very nice job of cleaning up. They also took away some branches that had falled down in a recent storm as a bonus. I was very pleased all the way around. I would absolutely use them again in the future. This was the third time I have used them.

We wanted some "feathering" or light trimming to the side of our tree adjacent to our deck.  Instead they cut back the tree to the trunk that entire side.  It will take years to repair the damage.  The work done borders on vandalism.

Was happy with the work and communication was very good. However, I was unhappy with the fact the quote was for double the amount of time that it actually took (3 hrs vs 1.5hrs). In the end they agreed to adjust it down a bit.

To update my previous review: I received an email response from Andrew, District Manager and made arrangements for him to stop by to see my issue(s). He was prompt and further explained that the job was done accordingly, which was to remove the stump and roots surrounding stump area. However, Andrew took the initiative to further resolve my complaint by removing the roots which was left behind. Andrew also checked to see that I was satisfied when he was done. Thank you Andrew.

I was under the impression that they would grind and remove the stump as well as roots so that I can grow grass in that area. I came home to find that they may have used an axe to chop and remove the stump. Heck, I could have done that myself with an axe. I have found some roots are still in the ground and will have to ask my husband to remove it. There's no way that I can till the soil in preparation for grading and seeding without having to take the extra time to remove remaining roots left behind. Mike Provost's response was that the landscaper can do this (grade the soil). I informed him when he drew up the contract that I was going to grade the lawn, not the landscaper. The service simply did not meet my expectations. I do not recommend them.
