"We were already in a rush from the moment we met JD - we were adding a front porch on to the front of the house and the city was holding up our building permit until we showed them a landscape design (we knew we'd have it done after construction, but hadn't planned anything yet). JD was able to meet with us quickly and work with us to come up with a great design that's low maintenance, colorful, and deer resistant.  He was flexible in working with our ever-changing construction schedule. On installation day, he and the crew showed up early and got right to work. He re-used some of our existing plants where it made sense to cut costs, which we appreciated. Some of our sod didn't fare very well and he was quick to replace it, before we could ask him to come do it. Our yard has never looked better, and we've had several people in the neighborhood stop to tell us as much. JD was very easy to work with and we have great results at reasonable rates. "From the beginning with setting up a time to get a bid, to accepting the bid and having all the work done was as smooth as one can ask. Our old porch was a rotten messed and we got bids from 3500-6000 dollars and we needed something done quickly, but last a long time. The guys got the whole thing done in about 2.5-3 days and I had some issues with the wood they used in certain areas and they address those concerns. Please note that quality of work they did was an A plus, just felt the certain areas they could have used a different piece of wood, because where the knots were. Not a deal breaker at all, but if your a type of person that wants perfection, just stay on top of the guys and they will fix it. They build to Chicago code, which is very nice, the deck is super sturdy and should last a long time."

"Sean and his team did a phenomenal job rebuilding my deck. The structure was still in good condition, so the project was to pull and replace all the floor boards and cocktail railing. That was done flawlessly. Sean was also able to lay the boards in a picture frame configuration instead of the staggered boards that I had before. This improves the appearance and it looks much more refined. It was a 3 day project. At the end of each day the property was left spotless and all materials, dunnage and tools were removed. I would give Sean and his team 10 stars if I could. I highly recommend O'Rourke Deck Services for your project!"
