We specialize in RTA (Ready-To-Assemble) furniture: All major brands; IKEA, Sauder, Bush, West Elm, South Shore, All the lines carried by Walmart, Target, etc, and the on-line companies; Amazon, Wayfair, Overstock, etc. We also assemble fitness equipment, outdoor playsets and storage sheds (assemble a Shed from a kit--Yes, build a shed from uncut lumber, not so much). We can also do disassembly & reassembly for moves within the greater Chicago area. Certificate of Insurance, or being listed as Additional Named Insured, available upon request. In 2015, we added picture hanging, mirror installation, and art installation as a service for our customers due to demand. We travel with specialty hooks, d-rings, lightweight picture wire, heavyweight (100 LBs rated) wire, and some aircraft-grade wire-rope rated at over 1,000 LBS. We do not charge for the small hooks, or for placing wire on the backside of lightweight frames. Artwork from IKEA, or on-line vendors often has no hardware at all on the backside. We have specialty levels, and we use the Yellow Frog Brand tape (delicate) to place our marks on walls. We also work with heavy wall items (i.e. large mirrors, wall sculptures, floating shelves, wine-racks, and the assorted DIY wall-mount garage and closet storage systems). We still mount Flatscreen Televisions every now and then.

It’s usually possible to install a playground yourself, but we don’t recommend it. Playground construction can be complicated and involves moving large, heavy, and bulky components into place while you affix them to other pieces. Not only is the work physically demanding, but any mistakes could reduce the lifespan of your playground and potentially put any children who use the equipment at risk of injury. It’s relatively inexpensive to hire a professional playground installer, and it’s usually worth the investment, if only for the peace of mind it provides.

For artificial turf that’s the most durable, look for heat-resistant products with thicker blades. Keep in mind that there’s a difference between artificial grass versus artificial turf, with turf consisting of a shorter look while artificial grass is longer and more closely resembles real grass.

It may be tempting to DIY the construction of a swing set to save money, but we don’t recommend it. Since children will use the swing set, the entire system must be solid and safe, meaning the cost savings aren’t worth potentially endangering them. Plus, most DIYers will have to build their swing sets out of wood, which won’t last as long as metal or vinyl and introduces the risk of splinters. Instead, hire a local playground equipment installer to ensure the swing set is built safely and efficiently, setting up your kids for fun for years to come.

There are many different types of basketball hoops available to choose from. 

  • Portable hoops are fully moveable and generally do not require assistance with assembly. 

  • Semi-portable in-ground hoops have an anchor cemented in the ground and a removable post.

  • In-ground hoops are fully built into the ground as one piece and cannot be relocated after placement. 

  • Wall-mounted hoops do not have a post or pole and work well when space is limited.

Rubber mulch is widely considered the best material to place under a playset. This material option provides more cushioning than traditional wood mulch for added protection, remains cooler than sand and most other materials in direct sunlight, and it’s low maintenance. Rubber mulch is slightly more expensive than other common options at $120 per cubic yard on average, whereas pine bark mulch is $30 per cubic yard.
