Specializing in residential electrical services in Western Suburban Chicago and Middle Tennessee, we are dedicated to providing customer service that is second to none.

"I was told the job would be done in 2 hours to replace 2 outlets and label my circuit breakers for a total of $300.00. Then I got a call that they couldn't label my circuit breakers because it would take an additional 4 hours. So for 20 minutes work I paid $190.00. I am wondering if they are only going to charge $110.00 for 4 hours."

I do electrical jobs for residential. I can add outlets, switch's, lighting, fans, trouble shoot anything electrical. I have been in business for 6 years now. I am a straight shooter and was not in the trades before becoming an electrician so I know how it is being on the other side of this industry. You may be at the mercy of people in this line of work and trust is a big deal to me. If I cannot do a job up to standard for some reason, I will let you know. I will not charge you and refer you to someone who may be able to help the best I can. I am willing to conduct consultations for free. I am the owner and take my work seriously. I will personally complete and/or oversee each job. I stand by my name and my work ethic.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Yes, a whole-house surge protector needs a designated breaker in your electrical panel. You will need to choose a double pole breaker that has two wire terminals so that your surge protector can connect to the breaker. This breaker needs two breaker slots inside of your panel. If you do not have room, then you will either need to adjust some of the existing breakers in the panel box or hire an electrician to install a subpanel.

Changing from a two-prong to a three-prong outlet is a pretty basic project that usually costs around $20 to $50. If you have a grounded fuse box, your electrician should be able to do the task quickly and easily; however, if they have to upgrade your electrical panel or ground the box, the cost could increase.

Licensed electricians should perform work for safety reasons; improper installations can prove hazardous or result in code violations currently.

On average, the cost to run electricity to an above ground pool is about $1,000. Certain factors can increase or cut these costs. For example, a larger pool or one farther from your house may require additional trenching for wiring, bringing costs as high as $4,000. On the other hand, a standard-sized pool closer to your home may only cost $350 to hook up to electricity.

Technically, an outdoor outlet can be on the same circuit as an indoor outlet, but it's generally not recommended. Outdoor outlets should ideally be on a dedicated circuit that doesn't share power with other indoor or outdoor outlets. This helps ensure that the outdoor outlets are able to handle the additional electrical load without overloading the circuit. Additionally, outdoor outlets are often exposed to the elements, which can increase the risk of electrical shock and other hazards. If you must have an outdoor outlet on the same circuit as an indoor outlet, be sure that the circuit has the capacity to handle the additional load.
