"Rooterman(Fadi) replaced my water heater.with one that is substantially taller. Another contractor who came to put in a sump pump informed me that it was an unsafe installation. Flexible connector is not straight and it is way too close to the ceiling. (my basement ceiling is low) It also looks like he used the old flexible connector because there is a small hole in it. The new contractor explained that if I had a problem with my gas and it had to be turned off that the gas co. would not turn it back on til the issue was resolved plus I could have a carbon monoxide leak with the placement of the flex hose. I had asked Fadi about that and he said "no it's fine". I was also promised that the old water heater would be removed. 2 months later it's still here (after multiple calls.) Now he's ghosting me. BTW He also begged me for a loan several times for $3200.00. Said he's being sued by the currency exchange and wanted cash for the job. Never got a contract either after being told it was in my email. Ghosted me on that too. If I could give 0 stars I would!!!!"

The cost to dig a trench ranges from $400 to $1,200 per 100 linear feet, depending on the soil, depth, and width. Depending on the severity of the freeze and the method used, thawing frozen underground pipes can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. Applying heat directly to the pipe using heat tape, infrared lamps, or hot water jetting can speed up the process. However, patience and careful monitoring are key to avoiding pipe damage.

It takes two to three hours to trench 100 feet with a mechanical trencher or 10 to 12 hours if digging with a shovel. The total time to dig a trench depends on the depth, width, soil type, terrain, trencher type, and your level of experience. Digging in clay or rocky soil takes longer than soft ground.  

As a general rule, the protected area should be about 1½ times as wide as the canopy of the tree’s leaves. This digging measurement can vary by tree species and the age of the tree.
