"I had a decent sized driveway extension done. The communications were a little difficult, but courteous when contact was made. The driveway itself looks great except the transition from the new to the old which is elevated on the new leading to a tripping/rolling hazard."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Address drainage issues, avoid heavy loads, and seal cracks to prevent future settling.

Overall, a paver driveway is considered the easiest to maintain because homeowners are able to do driveway repair one piece at a time without impacting the rest of the driveway. By comparison, you may need to reseal or redo a full asphalt driveway if just one portion sustains a significant crack.

Regular sealing, proper drainage, and periodic inspections prevent premature wear and cracking.

Annually, or more if located in humid or heavily polluted areas.

No. In spite of its identical chemical makeup, sodium bicarbonate manufactured for blasting purposes has a particular type and size of particles that differs from grocery store baking soda. In addition, this method would not be cost effective because you would need several boxes of baking soda to equal one blast-sized bag of medium.
