"Using Gutter Helmet was the best decision I ever made. The first appointment I got a very detailed demonstration on gutters. The difference of your everyday gutter to the comparison to Gutter Helmet. Gutter Helmet is very expensive, I was fortunate to be able to pay interest free for 18 months. On the plus side with Gutter Helmet you will never have to clean out your gutters again! They have a lifetime guarantee, even if you sell your house the warranty stays with the new owner. The gentlemen who install the gutters were employees of Gutter Helmet not an outside contractors."

"We were pleased with our gutter install. They also did a fascia install. Repaired the ends of a couple of rafter tails. Downspouts were put in the locations we requested and they even added another one to help us with drainage. We have noticed a much improved situation with our basement drainage, specially on the foundation aspect."

"I recently had my gutters replaced on my home and could not be more happy with the final product. Will did a phenomenal job going over the whole process with me from beginning to end. He gave me a timeline and stayed in communication on any updates. H&F beat their timeline by a week. Their staff that worked on the gutters were both professional and courteous. I couldnt find a single piece of trash/debris in my yard after they were finished. I highly recommend Will and the H&F team!"

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Poor gutter drainage can cause sagging gutters, roof damage, mold, mildew, rot, basement flooding, and foundation cracks. With gutter replacement costs possible for just $500, getting the right system can save you thousands in repairs down the road.

Costs range from $150 to $500, depending on the damage and length of gutter needing repair.

The average cost to install or replace gutters is around $2,000, with typical project costs ranging from $900 to $7,000. Most companies charge between $4 and $30 per linear foot. The total price depends on several factors, including the size of your home, the complexity of its footprint, the gutter material (e.g., vinyl, metal), and the gutter style (e.g., half-round, custom-built). Additional elements like downspouts, corners, and optional add-ons like gutter guards can also increase the price. The condition of your roof is another consideration, as new gutters cannot be installed on a rotting or sloping roof. While it can be an expensive upfront cost, new gutters are a worthwhile, long-lasting investment for protecting your home's exterior. You can save up to half on labor costs by installing them yourself.

The best way to seal gutters is with a combination of waterproof roofing cement and silicone gutter sealant. This powerful duo works to prevent water from escaping through holes and cracks while allowing for breathability. While you can use polyurethane sealants, silicone sealants tend to be more flexible when it comes to climate. Silicone is UV-resistant and bonds well to many surfaces. However, polyurethane sealant bonds better with wood.

Yes, many homeowners find that seamless gutters are worth the investment. Although they have a higher upfront cost than standard gutters—an average of $2,700 compared to $2,000—their benefits often outweigh the price difference. Seamless gutters last longer, require less maintenance, and are less prone to clogs and leaks due to having fewer seams. In contrast, standard gutters typically have seams every 10 feet, which can leak and require new sealant every one to five years. Additionally, seamless gutters are considered more aesthetically pleasing, come in a variety of colors to match your home, and can improve your home's curb appeal and potential value.
