"I had James Heath a my tech today. This was my annual maintenance for my sump pump. James was thorough and explained step by step what he was looking for, what he found and what to anticipate throughout the life of my entire pump system. He will be the one I will personally ask for when it comes to pump service/sales."
"I found Millennium Solar Electric through an Angie's List offer to have an electrical panel replaced with an upgraded panel with a whole home surge protector where you have to pay for the service in full before scheduling the services. Paying a service provider in full before they do any work is quite the leap of faith and goes against rules of dealing with service providers but it is the only way to take advantage of the offers. In an attempt to protect myself I contacted Millennium prior to making payment. The company did not respond to contact attempts through Angie's List email and chat service. I attempted to contact them several times that way throughout October 2017. I finally got in touch with them on November 1st. They apologized for not responding to my attempts to contact them through Angie's List. November 17th was earliest he could schedule my appointment. The work seemed to go off without much of a hitch. When they finished installing the panel, the workers left without much explanation of what what done. I noticed after they left that one of the breakers was not turned on. It was the breaker connected to the whole home surge protector. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be on or off so I called the company and had to leave a message. A few days later I finally received a response telling me that the breaker should have indeed been turned on. OK, I thought, not a big deal. A week later I noticed that my outdoor security light was no longer working. It was working prior to the installation of the panel. So again I had to call the company. I called on December 1st, left a message. He called me back, stated that he knew what probably went wrong with the wiring when he reconnected the panel but said that he would me back to schedule a time to come correct the problem. I didn't hear back that day so I called on December 4th, 5th, and 6th. On the 6th I again explained the issue as he didn't seem to remember and we made an appointment for December 11th to correct the problem. So I took off work and waited for him to come correct the issue. Guess what....I didn't hear from him on December 11th. I called and find out what happened and the calls went directly to voice mail. I waited an hour and called again and left a message. That is where our story ends for now. I must not contemplate having another company correct the issue which would mean I would have to sue this company for whatever the amount I am charged to have the light fixed. Between December 11th and December 14th, the owner, Christopher Williams and I had a couple of exchanges via text. I think in the end, Mr. Williams understood my frustration and on December 16th he came out as promised (actually he was early) and corrected the issue with the outdoor security light. Now that my issues are resolved I have a much more favorable view of the company."
"Excellent! They came the same day I called. Thoroughly cleaned the blower unit, we have dogs and cats. He also checked the hot water tank as a courtesy. Offered a maintenance program for a small fee, pay ahead for maintenance and call us to remind us when services are due to be done. and they did this! This service was worth every penny! I referred them to the buyers of our house when we moved. Excellent company, I recommend them highly."
"Marco from R & G did an excellent job replacing the water heater at my rental property. I have called him many times for a variety of services at different locations. He is very professional, and I recommend him to anyone looking for HVAC services."
"Thank you United Heating and Air Conditioning. The team was very professional and knowledgeable, they explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. They were punctual and efficient, they completed the job quickly and effectively. I recommend them to everyone. I will continue to use their services when in need. They also do our hvac maintenance and has helped so much!"
"Greg, the owner, came out on two occasions to discuss the crawl space and drain tile. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the crawl space industry. We had a few options and he told me about the new spray product he was using. It is this unique seamless liner that is sprayed on after preparing and insulating the area. His crew was very professional and easy to talk to. We had some scheduling conflicts that were easy to work around and get the job done when we needed it to be finished. The difference we noticed in the smell in our basement, the effect the insulation and seamless lining had on the air conditioning in our family room (which is above the crawl space) was immediate. We feel cooler air coming through the duct work since it isn't losing energy traveling through a non insulated space anymore and they basement smells and feels normal since the dirt and concrete is now completely covered by the new liner. That new product is great. Greg's company also did drain tile work in our basement. It was a different crew than the group who did the crawl space, but they were equally as professional and easy to work with. Rather than break up the job into 3-4 days they stayed late the first day to get everything ready and prepared so they could complete the job quicker. The job was done the next day. The price was very fair and the crew was extremely clean throughout thew whole process. We now have a water tight, well insulated basement and we couldn't be happier with the results. I have told several friends about the experience and would recommend them anytime. From Greg down to each of his crew members they really know how to do a good job and work with the customer."

"An energy audit revealed terrible problems with our home's insulation, and we decided to start with these issues before moving on to other, smaller, projects related to energy conservation. USA Insulation insisted that we would see a change in our home the very day they put in insulation, and I will have to agree that we did see improvements. I returned home to find 2" diameter plugged holes in the siding every 16 or so inches in 2 rows, one on each floor. We let the insulation cure/dry for a day or two before we painted the caps to match the siding color. In the end, we decided to repaint the whole house but only the main color, not the trim. I would suggest anyone with wood siding that has this type of insulation installed, consider the cost and time to paint the house because repainting just those plugs could be noticable if the house color has faded over the years. It is a very small price to pay (money and time) for the benefits we will see. There is a slight odor as the foam cured, but it was not toxic and not displeasant. It lasted about 48 hours before we could no longer notice the smell at all, but majority of the smell vanished in less than 24 hours. While it is too soon to discuss how well this work is saving us money, we did see 2 immediate changes: 1) It is much quieter inside the house now. 2) The upstairs is no longer a heat trap with unbearable heat in each bedroom (home has no central heating or air conditioning). Let me add a 3rd change now that we have experienced a few cold evenings: 3) The house is indeed warmer and retains so much heat when the radiators go on. The radiators did not have to stay on long before the house maintained a good temperature. USA Insulatoin, as part of their energy audit, left us with several suggestions of "do-it-yourself" projects that can provide additional energy savings in addition the major savings we will see from this insulation work.

Energy-efficient windows cost more than other window types, but they can help you save on your monthly energy bills, get you some breaks on your taxes, and even increase the value of your home. According to Michael S. Regan, Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, when people invest in green upgrades like energy-efficient windows, they save energy, money, and more.
Blower door tests are measured in a few different ways, but the most popular are air changes per hour (ACH) and cubic feet of air (CFM) moving through the house per hour. A good ACH score is less than 2ACH, but 1ACH is better. This means the house experiences a total air change within 60 minutes (for 1ACH). For 2ACH, there’s a complete change every 30 minutes, and so on. CFM scores are similar in that a lower score means less air change, and therefore less leakage.
Yes, Tesla Powerwalls are worth the upfront costs, as you can recoup your investment within six to eight years. Plus, they provide peace of mind that you'll have power during a power outage, and, depending on the system you install, you can become energy-independent. While they may be more expensive than other solar power systems, they offer higher battery capacity and lifespan.
Thankfully, LED lights use less electricity than incandescent lights, meaning you won’t spend as much on utility bills by using these light strips. Each 5-meter LED light strip will cost about $3 per year on your energy bill.
Services by electricians can quickly get expensive, but there are a few ways you can save money in the process:
Bundle multiple jobs done at the same time to save on trip fees or flat fees for individual projects.
Get at least three quotes for service to find the best deal.
Buy fixtures, switches, outlets, and other materials beforehand to avoid product markup.
If you feel comfortable with it, have an apprentice or journeyman complete the work under the supervision of a master electrician. These electricians in training tend to charge less per project.
