I've dealt with enough service providers to know that when someone with 20+ years of experience comes out quickly, after hours to provide the quote, then follows up and does great work that they are worth referring to others and I've already done so. The work is perfect, even on large windows and we have cats, so I was worried about hair messing up the films, but no defects to be found. We have lots of west-facing windows, including a very large patio door. I needed some relief with the heat and the damaging UV rays. I went there because I have a Nissan Centra. The auto shop here in town did not work on foreign cars. I went by recommendation to Feehan's to have work done on the transmission that had a problem. They also, because I had the car in the shop, did the exhaust system on it. There was also a problem with the fan blower on the heater, defroster. All of them were fixed. The cost that they originally quoted me I thought was reasonable and it ended up being less than what they quoted me. They were able to fix it without having to take the dashboard out so it was a lower labor cost. It took them awhile to get the part for the transmission. It took 3 days before it was repaired but I was very pleased. They kept me updated. I knew exactly what was going on. They knew I wanted it done as reasonably as possible. It is a 2000 car and it doesn't have a lot miles on it but because of it's age I wasn't going to be able to get very much out of it cost wise if I had to sell it so I didn't want to put a lot of money into repairs. I'm very pleased with their work. I was very comfortable with everything that went on and they kept me posted on everything. I don't think that I could have found a place that was less expensive. It was in my area and they kept me apprised. I was very pleased."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/minooka/feehan%27s-automotive-reviews-4275335.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"B & B Appliance Parts & Services","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"IL","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Richard W."},"reviewBody":"on friday september 6 a Band B repairman came to our house to look at our whirlpool dishwasher which was not operating. he told us it needed a new heating element. he said he would have the part the next day (which was a saturday) and would return in the morning to make the repairs. today is wednesday september 11, and he has not returned nor has he contacted us in any way. "I have to change my review. I have had no one but Tarter Brothers come to my house for all repairs since I bought my house about 6 years ago. I was a loyal customer for 6 years. I recommended them to everyone who asked. Recently I had a leaky pipe in my basement. The first attempt at a fix was adding new pipe tape and tightening fittings. This did not fix the problem and pipe continued to leak. Then I called Tarter Brothers and scheduled a second appointment for Tuesday. I called that day at 3pm and asked for an update. They said they had me down for Wednesday. I reminded them of our conversation to schedule the appointment on Tuesday and there was a long pause. They apologized for their mistake but said it's too late in the day, no one can come until tomorrow. I asked if someone could come after hours since it was their mistake. They wanted to charge me the after hours fee!!! I said absolutely not, I'm not paying an extra fee because they messed up. So they finally had someone come out a few hours later. He put more pipe tape on, put pipe putty on, and wrapped a random piece of wire around the pipe and screwed the wire into the floor joist in the ceiling. I told him what he did was very similar to the first unsuccessful repair, and asked if he could replace a part of the pipe or something. He said he didn't have time and left. Big surprise, the pipe is STILL LEAKING. I'm not going to bother having these people out a third time. They obviously DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING and DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. DO. NOT. USE. TARTER. BROTHERS."

FAQs for heating oil service projects in Mason City, IL
To buy heating oil for your house, contact local heating oil companies to compare prices and place an order once you decide on a supplier. The company will have to deliver your heating oil in a truck designed to carry and dispense heating oil safely. Call and order your heating oil early enough to have your oil delivered before you need to start using it for home heating.
On average, you’ll need about two gallons of oil per day to heat your house when it’s 50 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Most oil tank capacity is about 275 gallons, and heating your house with two gallons of oil per day will last about four and a half months. This consumption will vary depending on the climate and average temperature in your location. For example, if the winters are longer and colder where you live, you’ll probably need to refill your oil tank at least once to get through the winter.
You save money on heating oil in a few ways:
Make sure your home is well insulated and sealed against drafts and heat leakage.
Use a thermostat that’s working properly and calibrated accurately.
Program your thermostat to lower the heat when you’re not home.
Order heating oil during the off-season when prices are likely to be lower.
Summer months tend to be when heating oil prices are lowest because of decreased demand. Buying heating oil during the off-season also prepares you for when the weather gets cold, and you need to start using the oil to heat your home. Although heating oil prices will fluctuate, it’s best to avoid purchasing between September and April, as that's the peak season for heating oil demand.
Overall, heating your home with an oil furnace tends to be less expensive than heating your home with an electric heating system. Oil heating systems stay warm for longer periods of time without drawing a constant electrical current to maintain a temperature. Plus, heating oil systems typically have a longer lifespan and lower price tag than their electrical counterparts, resulting in short- and long-term savings.
