"I would use Jason's company again ANYTIME I needed paint or plaster work.  We had just completed some electrical work  in the unit, so  not only did he do a great job on the painting, but also patched many holes in the drywall and you cannot tell where they were at all!  He's an excellent painter and I would highly recommend him."

"It went above and beyond what I expected. I was hesitant initially about undertaking a painting project and wound up being thrilled after completion at how efficiently, professionally and meticulous the work was completed. Alin is a professional and will make your painting projects look incredible. I will be using his services going forward as I update my condo and will be recommending to my friends who value quality work."

"Ken Turner Custom Painting beautifully restored almost the entire interior of my house. I chose this company because of the high ratings the company has received on Angie's List, and because the company removes wallpaper, which is no longer commonplace among painting contractors. The painters worked diligently and quietly and put in long hours when necessary to stay on schedule. l highly recommend this business, as the owner is very focused on customer satisfaction. I have already reserved time with them for another project in the spring."

"He did not show up the first time. He reached out again and we set up another in person- he showed up on time. His assessment and idea on how to paint the house - seemed like it was cutting corners. Of my five quotes, he's the only one that suggested doing it his way. The others told me that was not the right way to do it. I don't think he wanted to put in the effort. I never did get the quote - he passed on it. Seemed like a nice enough guy though would not recommend him. To spend all that time where he didn't show and I waited and then he shows and still no quote...wasted time."

"Things went well! I was looking to remodel my kitchen, master bathroom, guest bathroom, paint several rooms and add new hardwood flooring. We visited design stores and explored a variety of options as the design was pulled together. Norma was very patient and answered all of my questions (I had plenty). I highly recommend her!"

"I'm very pleased with the work and the service. Initially I hired Painting Ladies to do some work in my residence. I had carpet in my Soft Loft Condo that was over 12 years old. I didn't have the budget for hard wood floors but wanted something attractive and within my budget. Claire suggested that the floors be painted with a special outdoor paint. I chose carmel for my living room and a deep brick red for my bedroom. I just love the rustic, creative look. Shortly after the floor project a water heater broke in a condo that I hold for an investment. Again, trying to work with budget Claire looked at the damage and was able to patch and paint very economically without disturbing my renter at all. She's completely trustworthy. I left her the keys and told her what time she could access the unit. I will use Painting Ladies again and again."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

To remove paint from brick with vinegar, you can use the vinegar in much the same way you would paint stripper. However, vinegar needs significantly more time to soak into the paint. Apply the vinegar with a spray bottle, let it soak in, then scrub the paint's surface.

When a window is painted shut, this means that paint has gotten into the cracks when window sashes or window frames were being painted. It’s pretty easy for this sort of thing to happen while painting, but sometimes homeowners will use paint to seal drafty windows, which will often cause them to get stuck shut.

Sandblasting is a common method for removing paint. It works great if the underlying material is tough. This is because you can then use more abrasive sandblast materials, making the paint removal process much faster and less expensive. If you plan on removing many layers of paint on smooth surfaces, you’ll need to be more careful about which materials you choose to use to sandblast.

The safest way to remove lead-based paint is by letting a professional take over. For most people, lead paint removal costs an average of $3,400. You should never attempt to dry sand old lead-based paint surfaces by hand. Most professionals use a paint stripper to do the job followed by wet scraping, but if you don’t want to remove lead paint, another option is to paint over it. Only consider this option if the old lead paint finish isn’t flaking or cracked.

A traditional German schmear uses mortar, making it unsuitable for adherence to painted surfaces. Professionals recommend removing any existing paint before applying mortar. However, you can rough up the painted surface and clean it to test if the mortar will stick. Remember that the underlying paint's texture and color may affect the schmear's final appearance—so starting with a bare brick wall will ensure the ideal finish.
