"Based on previous reviews, this contractor may do great work. However, his lack of professionalism and the heated way in which he spoke to me after a technology-related miscommunication left me uncomfortable pursuing a working relationship with him."

"We bought an old house that had walls cracking, green brush did a great job fixing those issues for us to paint, then we looked up and saw the atrocious popcorn ceiling and called Green Brish again. They smoothed, sanded, knocked out an ugly archway, and painted. It was a huge improvement for us, small improvements made a big difference."

Small jobs welcome

"Jasmine and Angel did such a wonderful job painting our interior. The detailing was so precise. They were so efficient and finished the project in the time they had stated it would take. I would absolutely hire then for future projects. Not only are they professional they are incredibly kind and listened to everything I imagined the finished project to look like."

Small jobs welcome

"Scott's a great guy, but not a professional painter. I found myself requesting a lot of touch-ups and re-do's, along with multiple requests for second coats of paint (which I made clear was agreed to at the outset of the engagement). I'm going to have to correct some of the work that was done, and add additional coats of paint here and there. Overall, I think the job was bigger than Scott realized at the beginning. However, Scott is very personable and a good dude. Hire him if you want a simple job done fast at a decent price. If you have a complex job, with a lot of drywall work, I recommend that you go with someone else."

"Manny from Rodrigo’s Painting 1 Inc. is a genuine professional. He was reliable, coming every day he promised and the hours he promised as well. He stayed within budget and painted my entire house within a week. He was neat and organized and painted our home beautifully. Manny and his team were wonderful. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the job that was done. We would use Manny and his team again without hesitation! We would absolutely recommend Rodrigo’s Painting 1 Inc."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Using a wire brush, forcefully scrub the surface to remove paint from metal. You’ll want to remove any lingering rust, too. For larger areas with caked-on rust, you may need to use a wire brush drill attachment. If the paint still won’t budge, apply a chemical paint stripper to the area and scrape off the paint, after following the paint stripper’s instructions.

One of the most significant benefits of hiring a professional painter is that they complete the task faster and better. Generally, it takes about a day to paint a room, depending on dry time. If you're painting your entire house or the exterior of your home, that's a lot of time spent with a paintbrush in hand. Outsourcing this project to a painting pro will save you countless hours.

Other benefits of hiring a professional painter include:

  • Quality experience with painting

  • Assistance with choosing colors

  • Using the right tools for the job

  • Extensive product knowledge

Technically, mineral spirits are a type of paint thinner, so they can be used for the same purposes. In most cases, pure mineral spirits are preferable to other paint thinners. Still, if necessary, you can successfully use paint thinners for most of the same applications, such as thinning or cleaning oil paints.

Yes, you can technically use a pressure washer to remove paint from brick, but it comes with a significant risk of damaging the brick surface. A high-power pressure washer can be fast but may leave the brick looking unsightly. The recommended method is to first apply a chemical paint stripper, following the product's instructions, and then use a stiff metal bristle brush or a pressure washer on a low-pressure setting to remove the loosened paint. Due to the risk of damage, it is often best to hire a professional who can use low-stress methods.

Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.
