"I am very happy with Luis and his crew. They remodeled a master bathroom shower. Taking out the old phone booth and installing a barrier free shower complete with subway tile on the walls and mosaic for the bathroom floors. They also replaced the floor tile in my guest bathroom. While some laminate flooring brands are made with less formaldehyde, many contain high levels of toxic chemicals that can off-gas in your home for months and years after installation.

Choosing natural flooring materials that are easy to clean without chemical cleansers can also help keep your home safer.

No, everything doesn’t get wet if the bathroom is well-designed and the fixtures are properly installed. It’s important that the floor of a wet room drains correctly, and proper waterproofing and slip-resistant flooring are used to avoid creating slipping hazards. Since the shower isn’t housed in an enclosed space, you’ll need to make sure the towel rack and toilet paper holder are placed in areas where they won’t get wet.

A laminate floor will lift if it hasn’t been installed with the proper expansion gaps around the room’s perimeter. Laminate flooring naturally expands and contracts when indoor temperatures fluctuate, and without adequate room for expansion, the planks can lift off the subfloor. To avoid this, ensure your flooring installer knows to leave the proper expansion gaps.
