From the proposal/quote stage all the way through payment, everything was fully communicated, executed quickly, and delivered with the utmost attention to detail —probably 2-3 weeks from first contact to finished work. They fixed the tuck pointing on our very old, crumbling limestone foundation and installed 3 glass brick windows. "This review is for the work on my roof and siding that was done in early Fall of 2024. If I could leave more than 5 Stars, I would. I lucked into finding DuPage Construction as I had previously chosen another company that wasn't the best with their communication and ended up switching to DuPage Construction. I could tell from the start, that I wasn't just another customer. All the staff, I had dealt with from ****, ***** ****** *****, ****, were very professional and personable. The insurance claim I received and passed on to DuPage was explained to me and I didn't feel like any questions I had were a bad question. The process of selecting roof and siding colors went smoothly too. I had asked and was provided with addresses of houses they had done in the area so I can see my color choices in my own eyes. The sub contractors they used for the roof and siding were personable and professional as well. They tidied up after each day and provided updates when they would be back and what was left to be done. All in all, I'm extremely grateful and cant thank the DuPage group enough. They were very patient and understanding and were willing to work through my situation. I hope you'll give them an opportunity to earn your business."

"I used this company for a number of years and the overall service is no longer the same. I had them over to clean my gutters and I witnessed ladders slamming against the side of my house and they tore one of the edges from the corner of my roof with their step ladder. I will not use them going forward."

"Had a leak in my roof by the chimney. Roof is 8 years old. The previous roofing company that installed the roof did not flash the chimney, and this was the cause of the leak. Gustafson Roofing came promptly to my house, identified the problem, offered me a written estimate the next day, and came three days later with a 5 man roofing crew and all of the correct materials to reroof a section of the roof, flash the chimney, and end the leak. They did very professional work, completed the job, and cleaned the site. The price was the same as the estmate. Would use them for a new roof in the future when that day arrives!"

"Drake was hired to strip and refinish painted exterior railings on a deck in the Fall of 2024. While the ?finished? railings looked good in the short term on inspection for payment, the workmanship did not hold up and the paint has been falling off and chipping in huge chunks. What is easy to understand is that paint hides a lot of shoddy work. I wish I would been more experienced and realized that this could be done so poorly. I do not think they actually stripped and primed the railings before just slathering a heavy vat of paint over the old paint."

"Local company. Recommended by both neighbors, with one getting their roof done the previous month. Original roof, and coming up on 25+ years of wear. We started to get ceiling leaks. Savaras was quick to answer the call. They scheduled a visit within the first week. I knew and they knew it would be a complete re-roofing. They gave me a detailed estimate, and responded promptly whenever I called or emailed for questions. I also had a couple other companies give me estimates. When it came down to Svaras and one other competitor (both on Angi with 4-stars and 25+ reviews, I exchanged estimates with them and asked what they liked & didn't like. Svaras gave me the most honest opinion. That and their cost was significantly cheaper. The materials they used were the same for all other competitors. Not much else to say there. The job was executed less than 2 weeks after signing the contract. They did it in one day. Again this is a 2-story house with an attached 3-car garage. The crew was all said to be local. I have security cameras around the perimeter. With all the footage, and me peeking out from the house, they worked hard. All day, with a lunch in between. Cleanup is the only area I can't necessarily give a perfect 5/5. I am certain they did a good job for the most part. They laid tarps to collect all disposal. And they brought a 7x14 trailer to throw it all in. It was on the contract they would magnetically sweep for nails daily. There were still plenty of nails that I can see with the naked eye on the driveway and deck. Since it was a 1-day job, my mind thinks it wasn't the best sweeping because it would have happened at night. It would have been exceptional to see a followup sweep the next day. Total Cost: $10-$13k"

"Trying to execute a major outdoor renovation project during a time of global supply chain disruptions poses many challenges. Happy to report that Mal and PHI navigated that rocky path very well. Mal kept us informed of the many changes coming from the supplier as far as colors and delivery. It was a long process...8 months between signing the contract and having the work completed. In the end we are very happy with the product and the quality of the work. A major windstorm hit the area the day after the work was completed and put the installation to the test. Everything held up perfectly...no loose bits flapping on the house or flying around the yard. In researching this project ahead of time, we had spoken with many friends who've had their siding replaced and none of them were especially happy with their contractor. We had the best experience with Mal and PHI. Highly recommended."
