These were expensive and beautiful trees. I had previously purchased two large crabapple trees from Dale Naffziger @ Growing Grounds many years earlier. We love those 2 trees and knew Dale has the best selection in town. His staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. After purchasing the 6 trees, Dale and one of his employees came out and planted all 6 of them. They told me how and when to water them. They told me what to watch for in case I watered too little or too much. These trees are wonderful. So, a month later I went back to Growing Grounds and chose 2 more for two bare spots I had in my landscaping. These two were even more expensive than the earlier trees. But, they were beautiful and I wanted something that the birds would love and would also be showy and healthy. Growing Grounds came out the next day and planted them both. It's been a couple months now and all 8 trees are doing very well. Trees sometimes do go into shock from being planted. We had one that wasn't very happy about being planted. I called Dale at Growing Grounds and he personally came out and trimmed the tree and told me it was just upset about being planted and it should be fine. He was right. The tree is much happier now and all 8 trees are happy and healthy in their new home! The trees we bought are 4 Pink Princess, 2 Lollipop, 1 Firebird and 1 Tina. Growing Grounds is my favorite spot for trees, bushes and plants. We have many other bushes, trees and plants we've bought and planted from Growing Grounds over the years. And, we will continue to do business with them because they are the best in Central Illinois!!!

Their prices were very competitive, they were fast, professional, and delivered on exactly what they promised and more! They answered numerous questions prior to the installation in a timely manner, explained the day before exactly what space they would need clear and did everything to make this a smooth process. They tarped our deck and even swept minor debris when they were finished. They even carefully moved my potted plants to protect the flowers. Their great equipment made the tear off a tidy process. A friend came by the same evening and commented that although she could see that the roof looked wonderful, there was no way a crew had been there that day to put on a roof - let alone the mess of the tear off. Cory and his crew were just that good. They even screwed in some decorative architectural elements and a piece of the gutter that were loose. My house looks beautiful."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/bloomington/casey-roofing-inc-reviews-2184803.htm"},"position":10}]}

**BEWARE** In the early stages of our landscape projects, I spent a great deal of time promoting Stolfa Landscaping. Tony is very sharp on his understanding of plants and trees. However, there's a huge difference in being familiar with plants and being able to effectively run a landscape...

We hired them because they talked a good talk and gave us a good price. However...the gentleman who sold us the siding said he would be on site every day....never saw him again. They were to have finished it by last thanksgiving....it was done by this spring break. They did not keep in...
My husband contacted this company after we never heard from another company we called over 3 weeks ago concerning the need to have our clogged gutters cleaned. He called Jud on Tuesday and was told to send a series of pictures so that Jud could provide an estimate. Soon after the pictures...
When I finally decided what I wanted, they were very prompt in getting started, and completing the project. I was very impressed how careful they were with my plants and property. They cleaned up every night and Joel personally checked to make sure all was cleaned up at the end of the project.

FAQs for plant watering projects in Hudson, IL
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
