Like some of the other people have stated.. they are pricey and they are also extremely busy. We worked with Andy as the sales rep and he was a great guy. We told him what we were willing to spend at most and he made sure we got everything we wanted for that price. I think people who are new to construction work might see these guys as a hassle but in all honesty.. the men they had working for us were some of the hardest working and fastest working men I’ve ever met. Everything was done in a week and a half.. and it is STUNNING! My only complaint is that we were supposed to get it started 8 weeks after signing and it didn’t start til about 12 weeks.. like I said though.. it’s a very busy time of the year. COVID-19 has everyone at home with their honey-do list and EVERYWHERE is booked. I would absolutely recommend Cronkhite.. always negotiate on price.. and make sure to check the work being done. Don’t watch them do something wrong and complain about it after.. If you have questions then ask them!

We received 8 new windows and they are amazing! We first had someone come out to our house and he went through everything with us and showed us a demonstration of the window! That man was so nice and answered all the questions we had he even came back again with little toy cars for my 2 boys! How sweet is that? We received our windows quickly after and they were installed in a fast manner! That gentleman was also very nice and did awesome work! We are very very happy and satisfied with our windows!

We hired them because they talked a good talk and gave us a good price. However...the gentleman who sold us the siding said he would be on site every day....never saw him again. They were to have finished it by last thanksgiving....it was done by this spring break. They did not keep in contact with us. They would say they'd be back on Monday and wouldn't show up for several weeks and it was very difficult to get ahold of them. They were to clean up the area each night and at the end of the project. They sort of cleaned every night...maybe straightened up is a better word for it. The final clean up was pathetic. I had to go out myself and pick up nails and bits of siding so our dog wouldn't cut her paws on it. They also broke a ceramic planter I had on our front porch and never mentioned it. I do NOT recommend them.

Cronkite salesman gave us a sales pitch and a very high price $12,000-$13,000. High but promise sounded good. The workers that Cronkite hired, did a fine job, but it was VERY pricey.

I had hail damage to my siding, windows, and gutters, I contracted with this company based on the quality of the windows and the reasonably good reviews I found on Angie's list and the Better Business Bureau. Their siding man, Fred came out once a very cold day in January and spent a week including weekends finishing the siding job and installing windows. he has a lot of experience and that was obvious by the quality of job he did. The crew that did the gutters came out toward the end of the project and install new gutters on two sides of house. As with any home-improvement repair project there are some minor problems that can occur and how company response to them is a good indicator on the Quality of the company. Weeks later at the weather got warmer I noticed a few minor fixes that needed attention. Cronkite was quick to respond and went above and beyond to correct those issues. I am more than happy with the quality of the windows they installed as well as the finished product of the gutters and siding.

Updating my previous review of A+ service. I just made my 4th call to get my soffit corrected. Put white soffit where brown should have been. Called at least 2 months ago to tell them of problem. Man answered took information. 2 wks later left voice mail, no response. 3rd call 2 weeks ago, Chris came by and said easy fix. Would get done but heard no more. Just called again and told service report to be written. I will see how long this takes. I will not use them again because of extremely poor follow up.

Shayne and Bruce provided excellent service throughout this process.  The old window and the sill below it had rotted so badly that the old window could not be opened and closed.  We were on a deadline to get the job finished so that we could close on the sale of our house.  A new window of better quality was recommended.  It was properly measured, and additional drainage for the new window was suggested.  This window was an outside basement window in a well below ground level, susceptible to rain and snow accumulation.  Keeping it drained would be important to prolong the life of the new window.  The new window was installed properly during one service call.  This included custom-fit sheet metal covering for the outside trim.  The finished job looks fantastic.  The window operates perfectly.  The installer cleaned up the worksite and returned garden tools, a wheelbarrow and tarp that I lent him.  Everything was done right the first time.  I highly recommend Cronkite Home Solutions.

Very thorough work. Punctual, very courteous and I believe very fair price considering all that was done. They worked in very cold weather which apparently is not uncommon for their workers. There was a misunderstanding for both of us regarding door installation but a very happy and mutual agreement was made. Very impressed and would highly recommend. Also, only their employees do the job, no subcontract work.

I was barely happy with their work. They did not get here and they said they had a hard time getting one of my half round windows. It wasn't manufactured as quickly as what they said it was going to be. There's a delay about a week and a half but I was satisfied with their work. I also got 4 different proposals and they have a high quality product. So far, they would go back to me if there's a problem but they were slow in getting that installed.

Not well. They forgot to put insulation above the former breezeway and fix a vent and had to come back on a Saturday which I definitely didn't want as I had plans and things to do and they were there nearly half the day. The crawlspace is not sealed back up, like it was when they thought they finished it the first time, and it lets cold air in the basement.
Insulation is all over the yard by my back door. I will have to somehow clean it up or cover it up with lots of mulch come spring.
I was told by the sales person to pay half when the day they got started and the other half when they finished. I left a check for the first half on the counter and they did not take it. The afternoon that they supposedly were finished the manager called me several times for the rest of the money. I didn't leave a check for them that day because I didn't know they were supposed to be finished and they were gone before I came home from work. Then he called back after discovering that part of the work wasn't done.
Sorry I had it done.

My wife and I decided to reside our home a year after purchasing it. The original siding was wood and had started to weather in certain locations and we didn't want to have to repaint every few years. We requested quotations from several companies, including Cronkhite Home Solutions. From the start, our sales contact for the company, Shayne, was very professional. He was actually the first of any of the companies to come out and quote the work. We ended up going back to him due to a combination of online reviews, cost, and professionalism. My wife and I hadn't ever considered the process of residing a house and Shayne walked us through all the steps and why things were and should be done a certain way; he was very honest. All of these were reasons we chose to use Cronkhite Home Solutions to reside our house.
The two man crew that resided the house was very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. They were happy to install new external light fixtures and doorbell buttons (that I purchased) at no extra cost. The entire job took about two weeks and they worked most everyday with the exception of days with inclement weather. They stacked all of the garbage into neat piles at the end of each day and had everything cleaned up by the final day. The head workman, Paul, was easily reached by his cell phone if I had questions or concerns about anything being done and was very approachable. Everything went very smoothly and we are very happy with the work that was performed. Shayne did a final walk through prior to us signing a work completed form, and even caught a few caulk seams that needed redone, which we didn't notice. Shayne told us at the end that his estimation of material was short and they ended up having to order an additional two squares of material - at no cost to us. The price that was agreed upon up front was the price we paid.
Overall we were very pleased with the professionalism, honesty, and quality workmanship that was provided by Cronkhite Home Solutions. I would certainly recommend them and intend to be a repeat customer when I have my deck done in the future.

This was a one day job for two guys. They also did not break for lunch. Old window removed. Hole opening had to be
modified smaller to fit properly the new bay window. Roof covering was built for the window. I supplied the shingles. Window was trimmed inside and out. There was some drywall strips added on each side of the window and mudded. The job was completed to my satisfaction but the mud was not dry. Therefore, I needed to finish sanding and do mud touch up to actually finish the job, which I offered to do.
I was satisfied with installation and the new look both inside and out.
