"GarVec Landscapes and Water Gardens did an outstanding job on our waterfall and koi pond. We bought a house with a water feature that s been trouble for years. Matt and Keith stopped over to take a look at our leaking feature and helped us come up with a plan for a new feature. They started exactly when they promised and finished on time. The project was pretty significant with a crane to remove old very large boulders that were shifted and breaking our deck. The end product is phenomenal with 2 waterfalls spilling into the center koi pond. I thought they were done but when they showed up the next day with all the plants I was really in awe. If you want a great water feature call these guys. They treat your house like their own and clean up each day. When they are done you ll be amazed. Our neighbors and family came over to take a look and they can t stop talking about it. GarVec are the guys to call if you want a truly spectacular water feature."

"I had a completely unsightly pond. Tim came and and confirmed I needed a rebuild. Tim and crew used existing large stones and added a waterfall and then suggested FISH. Our original 13 Shubunkin turned into 19 before the summer was over. The pond is right outside our back patio and is an absolute delight. The crew has helped with fall shutdown and spring cleanup. Fish survived the winter due to Tim's winterizing suggestions. A knowledgeable company! Wish I could build another one!!"

"Although it was a little tough to connect in the beginning (due to summer rush and holiday weekend), once Maria and I connected, things went very smoothly.
She came to my house, measured and provided a quote in a very timely manner.
I had to go through my HOA, and she was quite helpful. Providing the drawings and contacting J.U.L.I.E. as required by the HOA (and even coming out a second time to get additional details requested by the HOA).
We had set a tentative installation date (pending HOA approval) and were lucky that the HOA approval was received in the nick of time and the weather held out.
The crew showed up on time and worked tirelessly all day to complete the job. When they ran out of bricks, they went back out to buy more.  Maria  was there the entire time overseeing the work.  At one point we had an issue with the level of the patio where the base of the steps and the side of the house were out of sync (huge downward slope).  She noted the issue and provided a sound recommendation which I approved. At the end of the day, they cleaned up the entire area.  They had carefully removed sod, mulch and some of my plants to install the brick patio and when they were done installing, they replaced the sod, mulch and even replanted my flowers.  Impressive!!  Everything washed up (even the handprints on the staircase) and clean.  They were also very careful with the surrounding area.  I live in a townhouse and they used wheel barrels to bring in all the materials.  They were careful not to destroy any of the common area.  This is a huge plus and greatly appreciated.
Overall, it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend LDP.  I love my new patio - even though it is small, it adds a whole new room for me outdoors.  Wish I could add pictures, it turned out great!!"

Aquarium Services questions, answered by experts

Running water may get rid of a sulfur smell temporarily, but it isn’t a long-term solution. If your taps smell like sulfur, take a look at some of the potential causes we’ve outlined above. Depending on what’s going on, you might need to contact a pro to identify and fix the issue.

When septic systems begin to fail, your waste will start to seep into the groundwater. You may notice a foul odor (it’ll smell like sewage) or a squishy, moist lawn. The grass right over your tank or drain field might grow super lush and green because your waste actually fertilizes it. Other signs include standing water in your drain field, slow-draining sinks and tubs, and gurgling noises in the plumbing.

Baking soda can help neutralize septic tank odors. If the pH balance in your tank is off, it may emit a sulfurous, rotten-egg-like smell. Flushing about one cup of baking soda down the toilet once a week can help neutralize the odor. To increase the beneficial bacteria in your tank, you can add three rotten tomatoes through your garbage disposal every three months.

To prevent odors in the first place, only flush human waste and toilet paper. Avoid pouring coffee grounds, fats, oils, or grease down your drains, as this can lead to clogs. While these methods can help, the most effective long-term solution is to have your septic tank pumped regularly, typically every three to five years. Because sewage gas can be toxic, it is recommended to hire a professional to identify the source of the smell rather than only trying to neutralize it.

Yes, a septic tank can get full. If this happens, you might run into issues flushing your toilets or draining your sinks. You may also notice your pipes making gurgling noises or the smell of sewage floating around your house. Other signs of a backed-up septic tank include water pooling or fresh, healthy grass growing above your drain field.

Needing to pump the tank as soon as it “looks” full is a common myth about septic systems, as wastewater will eventually drain into the leach field. Instead, it’s better to determine how many solids have accumulated. A septic maintenance technician near you can test this to find out whether pumping is necessary.
