"We used them 18 years ago for the first fence and are so happy with their work again! They were professional and on time. They worked meticulously around all the cables and wires and dug everything by hand and had ZERO cable slicing. When our neighbor replaced their fence just days later, they came back out and closed the gaps left by the neighbor's fence (annoying), with no extra cost to us! I highly recommend Aztec Fence Inc!"

"I ended up going with a 6ft privacy fence. It looks fantastic. And a 4ft dog run. The customer service is outstanding. They checked in with me regarding the 3 gates that were being installed. We discussed which direction gates should swing (in or out) as well as which side I wanted the handle (left or right side of door). I appreciated that since it truly does make a difference. I will be having them come back in early summer to stain the wood."

"Francisco Fence was fantastic to work with for our aluminum fence. We needed a fence installed quickly for our dog when moving to a new home. They were quick to respond to my request for a quote and readily available to come out and measure. From measurement to completion took about 10 days - 1 week for the village permit and the install was done in 2 days. Pricing was very competitive and the finished product looks amazing. Throughout the entire process Sebastian was often checking in with me to provide updates and see if I had any questions. Id gladly work with Francisco Fence again."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

If your fence in Highland Park shows rapid deterioration, shifting posts, or sagging caused by clay soil and deep frost lines, it may need to be redone. Fences installed without proper post depth or drainage often fail early. Noticeable property line disputes, code violations, or neighbor complaints are also strong indicators that a full fence replacement or repair is needed.

Helpful?

Many Highland Park homeowners underestimate how clay soil affects post stability and how long permit approval can take. Weather delays, especially after spring rains or winter thaws, often extend project timelines. Overlooking annual fence maintenance, like sealing or tightening hardware, can lead to early repairs. Accurate property line surveys and clear neighbor communication are also crucial in Highland Park’s established neighborhoods.

Helpful?

Professionals in Highland Park begin by confirming property boundaries and checking for underground utilities before any fence installation or repair. They address structural concerns first, such as unstable posts or storm-damaged sections, to ensure safety. Urgent repairs like broken gates or hazardous boards are prioritized, while cosmetic fixes and routine maintenance are scheduled around Highland Park’s unpredictable weather patterns.

Helpful?

In Highland Park, it’s time to consider fence repair or installation if you see leaning posts, warped panels, or visible gaps under the fence—especially after winter. Watch for wood rot, rust, or loose boards caused by harsh freeze-thaw cycles. If you’re planning landscaping or additions, schedule work in spring or early fall for the best weather and contractor availability.

Helpful?

Highland Park’s climate—with heavy snow, deep frost, and humid summers—can cause fence posts to heave or wood to warp. Frequent freeze-thaw cycles make durable materials like pressure-treated wood or vinyl a smart choice. Spring and early fall offer the best conditions for fence installation, as the ground is softer and weather is more predictable, reducing delays and ensuring long-lasting results.
