"Every time we had a big rain, our basement window wells on one side of the house would fill up and huge amounts of water would cascade into the basement through the window framing and window seals.  
I had several landscaping contractors as well as basement/foundation contractors out to help us resolve our flooding basement. Everyone came up with either extremely complicated solutions that would require a significant amount of excavation or solutions that were so simple it was obvious that they didn't understand the scope of the problem.
After about two months of having different people come out and evaluate the problem, I stumbled upon Reliable Basement through Angie's List.  Their estimator, Steve Teuchen, took a quick look and immediately proposed what turned out to be the simplest (though labor intensive) and best solution.
Everything went very well.  Scheduling was tricky because there were some issues with getting permit approval through the Village of Hinsdale, but Steve took care of cutting through all of that red tape. He remained in consistent contact with me to let me know the status of the permit and whenever they had to jockey my project around on their schedule to accommodate the delays that were due to the Village permit process. Once the project started, the crew was great.  This was a big project with a lot of heavy-duty digging crossing into the path of several utility lines in very cold weather. They were very professional and good about communication with me throughout the project.  They cleaned up every day and once they completed the interior work for the new window well drainage piping, that area of our basement was actually cleaner than it was when they first entered.
Best of all, after a snowy Winter and several pretty heavy rains so far this Spring, the basement is dry, so it all seems to be working properly.  I would highly recommend Reliable Basement!

"Wotjek and his crew did an excellent job. We had them remove two short accent walls on the front of our home. After the removal, they used the old bricks to repair the corners so that you would never know that they had ever been any other way. The removal and repair where there had been an old window box was also done. They cleaned all the unused bricks and stacked them in our garage so we would have matching bricks should we ever need to replace or repair any of our masonry. He was very responsive and punctual. He came back to acid wash the mortar and we all agreed the mortar color wasn't what it should be. He has promised to return after winter to grind out and replace the mortar. This is fine with us and we trust that he will keep his promise. I will report back after that is completed. I highly recommend his work. We would hire him again if needed.

Mike visited our 3-flat building several times over the last few years to diagnose and advise on different problems, saving us thousands in unnecessary repairs. I highly recommend Mike and Arrow Masonry for any brick, block, and cement sealing and repair work. We were in year 8 of our split-face block's 10-year sealant life expectancy. In preparation for a re-seal, a major building expense, we did some preliminary shopping and received 4 quotes last year. Mike's quote wasn't the cheapest and it wasn't the most expensive. However, his command of masonry and ability to call out the details was impressive. He and his office (shout out to Patti!) were highly responsive as well. Our Association felt the most confidence in Mike's quote and decided that when the time came, we would go with Arrow Masonry. This year, the units in our building experienced 3 leaks above 3 different windows within 120 days. Time to accelerate the sealing job! We were able to get Mike and his crew scheduled to come out within 2 weeks. The crew showed up, on time, at 7 AM sharp and worked through 5 PM each day. It took a total of 4 days to get the job done. After each day, they cleaned up the entire site as if they were never there. This was greatly appreciated. Steve, the foreman, and the rest of the crew were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and addressed a lot of extra details that we did not even ask the team to address. They repaired our front steps, unprompted, and did a high quality overhaul of the flashing on our rear balconies to help prevent runoff down the exterior block below each deck. I did a final review the day after the job, loaded up a photo album of small adjustments that had to be made, shared with Mike, and he had the crew out in 24 hours, a Saturday morning, to wrap up all the final details. They really knocked it out of the park! Our Association could not be more satisfied with the job and the experience. We will happily use them again when the need arises."

They have been working with us for the last three years and they are still doing more work. They put the bay window in last fall. They are not cheap. Their quality is very good. They are here earlier than I anticipate. The job they did on the storm doors was really good, but they are starting to rust a little bit and it is only a year. He looked at them and he is going to see what he can do with them.
