"I have used many Tree removal companies and have been very pleased with all of them, however, World Class Tree Service stands out as exceptional in all areas. Marco and his team are amazing and from now on I will only be using them and recommend them to my family, friends, and clients. If youâ re looking for Tree help this is the company to use!"

"I contracted Rojas to remove five trees on my property; Lino was my contact and contractor. I received a very competitive bid and was very happy with the service. I was scheduled quickly and the crew showed up on my day as promised. The crew was very pleasant and worked really hard and quickly to remove all trees in one day. They were also very respectful of me and my property. They ground all stumps and cleaned up all debris even taking away the grindings. I could not be more pleased with the service provided. I will use Rojas again as the need arises."

"Absolutely Wonderful Experience from start to finish. Gabriel came out and gave a quote almost immediately. Our landscaping was extremely difficult with a huge amount of weeds, dead plants and tree, and junk. It looked like a forest! In just a few days, Gabriel and his team did what I thought was impossible, and cleared out years of rubbish (weeds, dead trees, dead tree parts, etc...) The place looks clean and spectacular! They were also very careful of anything everything on the property, and they were Extremely reasonably priced! Gabriel and the team were also very friendly, honest and kind. I can only gibe the highest recommendation, and I could not be happier with their work."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

It's easy to misidentify trees that appear to be maple trees due to similarities in leaf shapes. Sweetgum, sycamore, and yellow poplar all have leaf shapes and appearances similar to maples. The fact that around a dozen maple tree varieties exist, only about half of which are considered common, makes misidentification an often typical occurrence.

Generally, if your neighbor’s tree hangs over your yard, you can legally trim overhanging branches. Keep in mind that you cannot cross your property line to cut the trees, and if you damage the tree by trimming it, your neighbor could sue you. Depending on the type of tree and value, this could mean dishing out two to three times the value of the tree.

It’s worth noting that the specifics of this type of tree maintenance and the guidelines around it may vary by location. Do your research and, most importantly, consult with your neighbor.

Whether tree roots will continue to grow after a tree has been cut down depends on the species. Some tree roots will eventually die because they can no longer get nutrients through photosynthesis. However, other species that reproduce through root sprouts can continue to grow and produce new sprouts for seven years or more. For example, the roots of elms, ficus, and willows tend to regrow aggressively, while the roots of pines, oaks, and maples will typically die. To determine if a root system is still active, look for new sprouts on the old trunk, stump, or any exposed roots.

You should avoid cutting off the top of mature cherry trees. This process is called tree topping, and it’s not recommended for cherry trees—or any trees, for that matter. Tree topping removes between one-third to half of the length of the tree trunk, resulting in structurally unsound, fruitless suckers. The only exception is for saplings. Young pie, sour, and tart cherry trees that are over 30 inches tall in the fall or winter before the tree blooms can benefit from heading cuts.

Licensing requirements for arborists, also known as tree surgeons, vary by state and municipality. Many areas require a license, which often involves specialized education and experience. Even if not mandated, it's wise to hire a licensed professional as they tend to have more experience. Beyond licensing, look for certifications from organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), as this indicates a higher level of expertise. Certified arborists must typically pass a comprehensive exam. Always confirm that the arborist has a business license and is fully insured to protect yourself from liability. Seeking positive recommendations from local homeowners is also a good step in finding a qualified professional.
