Everything went amazing. The workers were unbelievably courteous and wonderful to work with. They worked incredibly hard in the heat and did a great job installing and cleaning up afterwards. The windows look great. They are so clear you can hardly tell there is glass in them. We are thrilled with our experience from start to finish.

The service we received was hands down the "BEST". Fair pricing, great communication, and friendly. The company really does care about your project and that you are 100% satisfied. Hard working honest people. Last but not least the work done was amazing too.

I hired them twice, first time 2 years ago, second time last week to replace fogged glasses that had broken seals. In both instances, they delivered excellent customer service and professionalism from handling my initial call for appointment to cleaning up the garage where they set up their workstation before replacement. They are hand down the best in what they do. I would hire them again my eyes closed. Very knowledgeable and courteous people to work with. They can perform immediate service as well depending on your needs. They just show up with their truck, set up the workstation in your garage, take measurements, cut the glass in their truck and be done with replacement, all in same day. Pricing was very reasonable. My appointment was within 4 days of my initial call. They set barriers to entry so high from competitiveness perspective.

Two years ago, a glass repair company came fixed some broken window springs and fogged panes. They were non-responsive, months late to do the repairs, and the repairs didn't last. So when I need to make the repairs again, I called Inst-I-Glass after getting a recommendation from a home inspector. Nichol and Chris (family business) came out to inspect my windows and determined that we had rotting frames. They recommended that we replace rather than repair the windows, which meant they did not end up getting any work, as Inst-I-Glass repairs windows but does not replace them. Instead of selling us something we didn't need (as was done by the company we used 2-years before), they helped us figure out how to go about finding the right vendor and right window replacement product. They answered my emails, talked to me on the phone, and helped me research products. This company is a gem. It's rare to find this combination of honesty and competence in a company. I highly recommend Inst-I-Glass and will use them for all my window repair needs in the future. I hope you do, too.

The 17 year old Republic (out of business) vinyl windows on the southern exposure of our home lost their seals. The second floor bedrooms were hot in the summer and cold in winter. I dreaded the expense of replacing all the windows in our home and likely having to replace the aluminum siding too. I saw the Inst-I-Glass truck in our neighborhood and called (224) 433-4856. Nichol Wiechert assured me they could replace just the fogged windows, with low-e gas units, and without touching the exterior of our home. The field technician, Marty, measured one day and installed the new panels in another day. Marty and Nichol were a pleasure to work with and the result was a MUCH cooler second floor of our home. We highly recommend Insti-I-Glass to our friends and neighbors.

Explained to Nicole what the problem was and she will have a team at my home tomorrow to measure and install new windows. They will have a 10-year guarantee and cost approx, $490. Installers called and indicated they would be arriving 1 1/2 hrs. early. : Upon arriving they put on protective footwear and started to access the windows.

They were extremely friendly, fixed the windows for a very reasonable price, and went above and beyond in their service. The individual that repaired my windows even took an extra 15 minutes to remove and clean a window that did not require repair. They were on time and delivered exactly what they promised. I cannot stress enough that this is a great, honest company that in my mind not only provided a great service at a great price, but went above and beyond to make me satisfied. I HIGHLY recommend Inst-I-Glass!

The Detroit franchise of this company used adhesive tape to stick lights on a custom mirror that they installed instead of properly drilling holes for the lights and the lights are now falling off. The Detroit franchise went out of business and the national corporate will not stand behind the warranty or even provide me complete contact information for the Detroit owner. So I am left with no recourse. I would be leery of doing any business with any local franchisee because if they go out of business, national will not stand behind the product
Response from Inst-I-Glass Chicago LLC
"[Member Name Removed]. The workmanship that franchise performed is not the quality of work we produce here at Instiglass Chicago. We have highly skilled technicians and our franchise is growing each and every day. I am the franchise owner and I oversee operations every day. I speak personally with every customer who calls. I apologize for what happened to you but that is NOT a reflection of the type of franchise I run here in the Illinois area. Sincerely, Nichol Wiechert"

Top in class service. Great quality at a great price. We were referred through a highly recommended local glass door and window company. We talked to many providers but found Inst-I-Glass to have the perfect blend of professionalism, courtesy and value. Everything was spelled out, from inspection to time estimate to installation. Very courteous and professional, starting with Nichol's excellent management to the crews' skillful installation.

fabulous experience. I had to replace 5 window glasses with broken seals. Had no rush but wanted to take care of it before Christmas if possible. Called 6 different companies in the area. Instiglass was the only one offering immediate in house service whereas all others estimated it would take up to 2 weeks to deliver the product. 2 of them didn't even show up. When I called Instiglass on Friday, Nicole at Instiglass gave me a quote over the phone, said the glass technicians would show at 9am on Sunday morning, it would take about 6 hrs to complete the work, gave me a great deal too which ended up beating the competitor quotes. Guys showed up exactly at 9am on Sunday with their trucks, put together a workstation in my garage in no time and it took them exactly 6 hours to finish the job. Very professional, very communicative, very clean. Instiglass is the company to call for any window glass replacement. It's a no brainer.

Needed to get windows repaired or replaced to get house ready for sale. Received name of company (with others) from realtors I spoke to. After receiving bids from several companies (both glass replacement and full window replacement), decided to go with Inst-I-Glass. They have glass inventory, so are able to start within a few days (rather than having to wait 2-3 weeks to get glass of proper dimension ordered and received, like another co.). The ability to get the job done quickly was one reason I chose this company (but no the only reason).
From the beginning Nicol was very easy to work with and was VERY responsive to my calls. I was able to get an initial quote very quickly via email after giving her the number of window sections and dimensions needed. The price quoted was a bit high, I thought, for what needed to be done. At that point Nicol and Chris came out (on a Sunday) and did a thorough evaluation and were able to revise the estimate downward, due to the type of window (not as complicated as was initially assumed). They got the estimate to me quickly. They made the extra effort to get my business and were informative about the work throughout the process.
Work was started within a week (would have been a few days, except they needed to source new bead material, since the existing bead on the windows was to brittle to use). Even while waiting for the new bead material, they were working on building 12 of the sections before even coming to the house. The glass techs (Mike and crew) arrived on time both days, they were efficient, professional and very respectful. The first day they rebuilt 9 sections, which had to be built on site in order to include decorative elements between the panes. The second day they assembled the remaining 11 sections for the sliders and double-hung windows. Chris and Matthew and one other individual (didn't catch his name) came on a third day (a Sunday, no less) to work on the picture window. It took 6 hours to rebuild the window due to more extensive damage than originally observed, yet Chris persevered and did an incredible job. In fact, ALL the guys did a great job, up to and including making sure all surfaces were clean of any sealant/caulking before finishing the job. And they cleaned up well after each day's work.
Due to the need to get new bead material and the additional work on the picture window, the final cost ended up being close to the original estimate. However, after seeing what is involved in making these repairs, it is fair. And it's half the cost of getting new (cheap vinyl no-frills) windows, and probably a quarter the cost of getting good quality windows. Excellent value.
I also highly recommend this company!

This company was recommended to me by several local and quot;glass companiesand quot; in my area who couldn't be bothered to replace a broken kitchen thermopane panel. I called and got a voicemail, not a good sign. I left a message and asked them to call me back. I never heard a word from anyone.
Service contractors that use voicemail as their first point of contact always raise a red flag to me. I finally found a real glass company and they did the work.

THEY ARE EXCELLENT! Nicole was very helpful with responding to my email inquiry. She was detailed with her estimate. The gentlemen who came to the house to do the actual work, was punctual, courteous, explained every detail of the work, and answered ALL questions beyond our satisfaction. This is a VERY REASONABLE way to replace damaged/foggy/scratched/broken glass, without replacing the entire window and then having to do repair construction/painting/caulking afterwards. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I found out about Inst-I-Glass from my local glass and mirror company when I called to find out how much it would cost to replace six large thermopane windows that had failed seals and were fogged. They recommended I call Inst-I-Glass and I'm glad they did. From the initial call I made to Nicole to get an estimate to the end of the job when Chris and Gage the installers left, it was very professional and wonderful service. The crew arrived on time, removed the bad window sashes, took them to their large work van, replaced the glass and then re-installed the windows. Now I can see out these windows again! The best part of the whole deal was I saved thousands of dollars by only replacing the glass instead of the whole window. i would highly recommend Inst-I-Glass to anyone who needs glass replaced. And they also do custom shower glass enclosures too.
