In most cases, humidity above 70% is considered too high to paint in. Humid conditions will slow the paint’s drying process, which increases the risk of drips and other imperfections. Moisture on the walls is also one of the biggest reasons for bubbles in your paint and poor adhesion, so you’ll get an overall better finish if you maintain humidity under 70%.

Yes. If you change your mind at some point in the future, you can paint over your limewash. To get an even coat of paint, you should first prep your surface by cleaning it thoroughly and applying an appropriate primer. Since limewash has a matte finish once it’s dry, you likely don’t even need to sand it first.

It’s possible to paint certain drop ceiling tiles, including those made of plastic, metal, and wood. A higher gloss paint might make the texture pop more, but it can look a bit dated once the paint has dried. And don’t worry about whether a water-based latex paint will loosen the wallpaper. Paintable wallpaper has a coating that prevents this from happening, so using latex paints without applying an oil-based primer to seal things first is fine.
