"Excellent service. Technician arrived promptly and was finished with the work within an hour. Clean up was done after the job and the technician even took my old light fixture with him for disposal. Would definitely contact again for electrical work if needed in future."

"CD Electric was fantastic. They added electrical outlets to the interior and exterior of my home and installed an exterior light. Chase was very thorough with the estimate he provided me and completed the job in the time he said it would take. I would definitely hire them again for any future jobs and I highly recommend them to anyone else."

"They were able to determine wiring was safe (checked the attic). They quickly determined the sources of the problems which included two bad switches and a bad light fixture. They were able to replace all these items AND got the microwave installed. All this was done in under 2 hours. Total cost was well below what I expected and well below competitor's estimates. Very satisfied with the work. Highly recommend, would do business with them again."

"Thanks to Jason and his crew, I now have the kitchen of my dreams. They installed cabinets, lighting, flooring, backsplash, etc. They even sanded down my popcorn ceiling. It looks brand new. In addition to my kitchen, they replaced baseboards in my family room and installed hardwood in my foyer. Plus, they did a great job cleaning up afterwards. These young men are extremely professional and polite. They communicated with me every step of the way. I'm beyond pleased and could go on and on..."

"Great work!
I had attempted to move a light switch myself for a kitchen backsplash project and realized I was over my head.
So I called Richard to help.  He was extremely punctual answered immediately and stopped by the next day to look light switch relocation to see what he would need to complete project.
Even though I wasn't his only project he came back and got the project done a couple days later.  Not used to turnarounds that quickly.  In our original discussions, we has just discussed having him rewire and relocate the light switch, but later I also wanted his help with drywall.  He nicely included the drywall work into the project, it was great that he went above what we originally had agreed on.
Quality wise Richard was using the best components.  He could have used cheaper parts but instead he used best pieces to make sure it was the highest quality project.  For electrical work that is a big deal to me.  It was also nice the he wasn't shy with explaining his techniques to me.
We will definitely use Richard for projects in the future and would recommend him to anyone else looking for someone that can handle any sort of house projects.

"RM Electrical did all of the electrical work for our family's recent project of finishing a portion of our basement to create a studio apartment complete with overhead dimmable lighting controlled by multiple switches, the electrical for a full kitchen, and all of the necessary wall outlets throughout. At the same time, RM Electrical also expanded the lighting fixtures and power outlets in the unfinished portion of our basement. RM Electrical completed all of the required electrical work quickly and professionally. RM Electrical also provided valuable guidance to us when we planned how we wanted to light different spaces in the new basement living area. At one point in the project, when we found that the programming for the dimmable light switches was causing a problem, RM Electrical was quick to troubleshoot the situation and find the right solution. It was easy to work with RM Electrical on our project. I do not hesitate to recommend RM Electrical for providing the necessary electrical work for any home improvement project."

"All good.  Added window locks on upper floors (sash windows, young kids) and repaired/replaced some original locks in doors to make them work properly.
We've used them for all kinds of things over the last 3 years - pretty much do whatever we've needed done.

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

It’s technically possible to install your own outdoor lighting, but we only recommend it for wireless set-ups, which won’t last as long as wired outdoor lights. Installing wired lighting around your property requires help from a professional electrician, especially since improper installation can increase the risk of fire. You may need a licensed professional to pull an electrical permit for you and sign off on the work. We suggest leaving the work to an expert to ensure good design, maximum security for your home, and the best quality work possible that will last for decades.

The simplest way to put Christmas lights on any metal surface is by using a magnetic hook or clip. You can also purchase magnetic lights, which should easily stick to any magnetic surface. Keep in mind that not all metals are magnetic. In that case, you’ll need to use a different clip.

Before investing in motion sensor lights, there are a couple of disadvantages worth noting. For starters, they’re not as reliable as other forms of lighting. Motion sensor lights can be accidentally triggered by pets or wind, which can become a nuisance after a while. The opposite situation can occur, too, where they don’t turn on when you need them to.

The process to cut a circle in drywall for recessed lighting follows a process similar to the process for cutting outlet holes in drywall. The easiest option for making a perfect circle is to use a circle cutter tool. It makes a smooth circle in the drywall quickly, meaning you’ll have less cleanup work to do later. You just have to know the center point of the recessed light before adjusting the circle cutter tool’s length to create the diameter of the circle cut you need.

When hanging a chandelier, the distance from the ceiling depends on the room and height. For standard 8-9 foot ceilings, chandeliers in living areas or bedrooms should hang 7 feet from the floor. In dining rooms, the chandelier should be placed 30-34 inches above the table.

For higher or vaulted ceilings, adjust accordingly, ensuring the chandelier remains balanced and visually appealing. Aim for chandeliers in entryways to be 7 feet from the floor or adjust for high ceilings to make a grand statement. Always consider the room's function and the desired lighting effect to achieve the perfect placement.
