Fairway Lawn Care is here to provide a clean hassle free service. Anywhere from bush trimming, tree trimming, landscape clean ups, mowing, weed eating, blowing, edging, snow removal, gutter cleaning, roof cleaning and pressure washing. Fairway Lawn Care is a one man band but however that one man band has been in the lawn care business for 6 years. Along those six years he has masted the expertise of taking someones yard to the next level. He will always greet you with a smile on his face and make sure to completely satisfy your needs. Those 6 years have built a lot of bridges of people that I can trust to loan a helping hand when needed. Being a one man band comes with a lot of things. One being that there is more attention and focus on the job. Two is getting the same service week after week. There are plenty of companies that have these huge crews which is great. But this company wants to focus on the customer and build long term relationships. And what better way to do that then being on the job day by day week by week and year by year. Fairway Lawn Care is who you are looking for to take your yard to the big leagues. As we always say"Taking it one yard at a time"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

While you may see some germination by simply tossing a handful of new seeds on a lawn, you'll have more success by following the proper reseeding or overseeding process step-by-step. Without properly tilling, mowing, amending the soil, and watering your lawn, the new seed could blow away or simply fail to take root.

If you plan on laying new grass seed, try to wait eight weeks before stepping on it. You might need to wait an entire season to drive your car across the driveway. Sod establishes itself in the ground in about two weeks.

The frequency of lawn aeration depends on factors such as soil type, grass variety, and lawn usage. In general, it is recommended to aerate cool-season grasses like Kentucky bluegrass or fescue once a year during the fall. On the other hand, warm-season grasses such as Bermuda or zoysia benefit from aeration in late spring or early summer. However, it's essential to assess your lawn's specific needs, as signs of compaction and reduced grass health may indicate the need for aeration outside these general guidelines.

The screwdriver test involves trying to push a screwdriver into your lawn. If it goes in easily, you’re likely overwatering and should cut back. If there’s moderate resistance, you have a good watering schedule and soil composition. If there’s a lot of resistance or you can’t get the screwdriver into the soil, you may need to aerate your lawn to reduce compaction and increase your watering schedule.

It’s best to fix lawn depressions during late spring. You want to wait until after your last frost date and when the yard is not too wet. This also allows ample time for new grass growth once you reseed.
