"Kevin and crew did an outstanding job. They patched in some drywall and painted my bathroom. I can’t tell where they patched after they painted. The crew was professional and accommodating to my interrupting to check on progress. I will be hiring Tadashi Painting again for future jobs!"

"Thomas drywalled and painted our garage. His work was excellent but more importantly he?s the ultimate professional. Thomas arrived on time each day and kept us informed on everything. His price was fair and billing easy. I definitely would hire him again."

"I initially called Brian to fix a toilet leak on a new toilet that someone else had recently installed. He came over right away to fix that. He also verified the problems I thought existed with the original install. I was so impressed with his work, personality, and level of care that I hired him to change out the dining room chandelier, loft ceiling fan and 3 ceiling fixtures. I also had an old water leak stain in the dining room ceiling that he repaired/painted. I ended up not liking the brightness of the LED ceiling fixtures and he was kind enough to pick up some dimmers for me. He's considerate and doesn't leave a mess. I couldn't be happier with his workmanship and am already thinking of more projects. I highly recommend."

"They did a great job replacing and securing old drywall in our garage. They installed an electrical outlet which works perfectly but his suggestion, to make it easier, was to use BX which is not code in the area. Luckily I knew that because my parents would have gone with it unknowingly. I definitely wouldn’t hire them for carpentry work. We had a prehung front entry door put in and screen door reinstalled. We ended up having to have someone else come out and redo the job because they installed it so out of square that you could see daylight and the screen door wouldn’t close unless you pushed it with all your weight. They didn’t replace the interior trim or the piece of flooring they pulled out. They did a good job installing the peephole, mail slot and handle. Would recommend for small jobs but nothing too involved. Definitely not electric or carpentry."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals often repair minor wall openings made for insulation injection to restore the surface.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

In many cases, installing new drywall will boost your home value. Replacing old, damaged, cracked, or wavy drywall is a great way to improve the look and feel of your home, as new drywall installed by a professional shouldn’t have any imperfections. Additionally, removing old drywall means you’ll have open walls, so you can install new insulation and address exposed issues with plumbing and electrical systems running behind the walls. All of these fixes will also add to your home’s value.

Mudding drywall is a DIY-friendly project, but patience and practice are required for perfection. If you’re working in a highly visible area and want the best possible finish, hiring a professional drywaller is worth the cost. Pros have the tools and know-how to ensure a smooth surface with fewer sanding sessions and less cleanup.

Regularly in areas prone to moisture or high traffic to catch issues early.
