"I hired Juan to paint several rooms in my home, repair my kitchen ceiling, and paint basement stairs. After discussing work needed he gave me a quote and I said okay, he text me later and said it would be more he’d miscalculated. Juan would say he’s be there at 9a but not show until 10a and then take lunch at 12 noon for 2 hours, come back and work until 4p. He did not complete the job by time promised but request I pay home for work completed and provided me a bill. On the bill we’re things he had not done including painting ceilings. When questioned he said, did I not paint the ceiling!? He did this in two rooms. He did not paint above my kitchen cabinets, he did not do two coats of paint on the stairs, and the ceiling repairs in the kitchen I paid top dollar for have already cracked. When questioned about all of this he offered to come back and finish the job, on his time, not at my convenience. I feel he’s very dishonest, knew he didn’t complete all work he charged for and would never have said anything. Also, he continuously complained about the paint fumes when he was hired to paint my house."
