"I moved into my home about a year ago and we have been talking about wanting to remodel of the bathroom but always thought it was out of our budget. "David is excellent and very budget-conscious. In addition to the paint, which looks great, he spent at least 10 hours repairing damage caused by my flooring contractor (and somehow managed to make an entire houseful of badly damaged trim look nearly as good as new). All work was done professionally and at a very reasonable cost. Punchlist items were taken care of promptly.

You can mop bamboo floors, but exercise caution to protect the material from excess moisture, which can seep into the bamboo, causing it to warp and well. Impervious or vitreous tile and vinyl flooring work best for the kitchen. These surfaces are non-porous (or have a very low porosity) that can stand up against spills, splashes, and plumbing leaks. Yes. So-called “floating” cork floors can be installed over concrete subfloor, though a polyethylene vapor barrier is required. This type of installation is achieved using the glue-down tiles, which are trickier for a DIY approach, so consider calling a professional to help you if you’re planning to install your cork floor over concrete. 

You can get away with stretching the carpet with some remaining items of furniture, so long as you have ready access to the parts of the carpet that require maintenance and you are not stretching through the furniture, as this leads to tears and fraying.
