"I waited 6 weeks to have my roof reroofed from five different firms none of them completed the job I talked to Josh from summit it was almost an hour he was at my house and we had cinched the deal. Josh keeps his word his men are honest good working hard working fellas and I would give my consent to any job that they would do for you and they are reasonable too he was 1200 Dallas cheaper than my last bid so five stars to this firm and Josh and his workers thank you Dennis Drevdahl"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Ensures precision fitting, optimizing durability and efficiency against weather elements.

Clay tile roofing is more susceptible to damage from impact than something like a metal roof or even asphalt shingles, so they aren’t ideal in areas that see frequent windblown debris or hail. Clay tile roofs are also an average of $8,000 more expensive than asphalt shingle roofs, so up-front cost is an important consideration to make before committing.

Underlayment is used between existing shingles and a new metal roof to prevent friction and wear from the shingle granules on the underside of the metal. The underlayment also helps prevent water intrusion and allows expansion and contraction without wearing away at the roofing material.

The size of the dumpster will determine how many squares of shingles can fit in a dumpster. You can place between 4 to 20 squares of shingles in most standard containers.

Sometimes chimney caps blow off during storms or fall off after rusting away. While this typically won’t cause structural damage, failing to replace a chimney cap can. A chimney cap prevents moisture, animals, and debris from entering your chimney, all of which can cause serious problems, such as damage to the masonry or blockages in the flue.
