Jeff guided us through the inevitable ebbs and flows, from variances and permits to tear down and construction. When we hit a couple challenges, Jeff helped us navigate the issues and keep the job on track. "We have just had AOM complete work on our home. If you are on the fence about using this company, I hope this review helps. The interior of our home had not been painted since it was built (about 2003). It still had the flat contractors paint and some areas were looking decidedly worse for wear.Being pregnant with a toddler on the loose, we decided not to attempt the painting ourselves. I commenced obtaining quotes. Generall,y when having work of any kind done on our home or appliances, I prefer to go with a company that has been recommended to us by friends or family we trust. So we had a number of companies from around the local area come to give us quotes. However, I spotted AOM on Angie's List and was intrigued by their offers and more importantly, the reviews people gave them.I decided to call them for a quote. Well, they were super fast in getting back to me and David offered to come out the next day to provide a quote. After a walk through and explanation of what we needed, he was able to quote me on the spot.We had a relatively tight schedule to get the painting done. We decided to have it done whilst we were away overseas. Certain past experiences have left me largely mistrustful of giving my home over to anyone while I am away, but after chatting with David and Ashly, the owners of AOM, I felt confident that we were in good hands. We were leaving in less than a month and needed the work done by the time we got back. No pressure. Ashly and David were fantastic in fitting on with our schedule requests. Ashly was so great in helping us to decide on exact colors to match our general idea of a color scheme, coming over more than once to put up paint swatches in the different rooms in different areas so we would be able to tell how it would look regardless of time of day. I can't tell you how many color samples we tried before we made our final choices. My mother in law was gracious enough to offer to be on hand to help out with daily concerns, and the AOm team worked so well with her. She was completely impressed - not an easy feat with her! Before we left we had constant communication with Ashly, who even helped me choose paint scents.While we were away, we got regular updates, with pictures from AOm as well as an online work board so I would be completely in the loop with the work done/to be done. We returned the day before yesterday and LOVE the work they have done. We are so incredibly happy and impressed with the work they did. They did all our ceilings,our walls, fixed cracks and dents where needed,painted the walls and to my absolute delight, managed to get my dinged baseboards and door frames looking like new again.They also took care of the smaller details, like kindly replacing globes they saw had blown out. Today, David came by for a walk through to ensure we were happy with everything. There were a few minor things that he fixed right there on the spot. Needless to say, all their fantastic reviews are well deserved.They work hard, work smart, have integrity, and are so very accommodating to their customer's needs. That they are also trustworthy is a huge thing for me , and I suspect that anyone having work done in their home, whilst they might not be about at all times, will understand this. Give them a call - you will not be sorry. Oh, and their quote? A fraction of the cost we were quoted by the others. We intend on using them for all projects in the future."

"Scott and his team are wonderful. After recently being scammed by a contractor that we hired to remodel my parent's home, I had to quickly find someone who is honest and reliable. I called Illinois Remodeling Consultants and explained our situation to Scott and he was quick to help us. He immediately went over to the property and gave us his honest observations. Because my parents were taken advantage of, he made sure that they did not have the same experience. His prices are completely fair and he even helped us with that. He took care of everything. We are so grateful to have Scott on our side. He is the best project manager and makes sure that everything is done. We are having the bathroom and floors remodeled and the back door fixed. Later this year or next year we will work with him to have the kitchen done. The photos that I am attaching are of the unfinished bathroom, but you can tell the high quality of their work. They are awesome."

"I am not sure that I go what I wanted. My basement floor is unfinished, and it has a crack in it, so I assumed they  would repair it like the way they repair a crack in a wall, and they didn't. They poured in a crack filler, which runs about 13 Dollars at Home Depot. I don't think it was worth 149 Dollars for a crack filler, and he was here less than 20 minutes. The crack has been filled, but it wasn't what I wanted, and before he did that, he said he would look at the basement and there were 3 cracks but he offered to repair the one on the floor. He could have chosen to repair the crack in the wall for 149 Dollars."

"Preston of G-1 Plumbing performed the services and addressed the toilet & drain problem. He was unable to stop leak(made it worse) & submitted his recs to Choice Home for review. I was unable to understand Choice Home's response regarding the faucet leak. Their review stated faucet needed to be replaced BUT it was under "builder's warranty." I built this home in 2005. There is no "builder's warranty" now. I cancelled the proposed work order & paid out-of-pocket. A Friend, who was familiar with my builder and knows faucet components, came to my home, adjusted/cleaned the faucet cartridge and stopped the leak. The CHW tech, Preston, is conscientiuos, however, IMHO lacked the knowledge & experience to stop my leak. Home Warranty Companies, at least in my area, hire owner/operators who need the work to build their business and are NOT the most experienced/knowledgeable & are willing to work for less money. In my experience, Home Warranty Companies want the CHEAPEST resolution, not the BEST. I would recommend G-1 Plumbing for most plumbing issues."
