"We are so glad we hired Eddie and his Team for our basement drywall installation! They completed the drywall for our bathroom and around our mechanical area. We reached out for a quote and Eddie came out that same week, and was able to start our project within a few days. They were very professional and did an amazing job cutting the drywall to the basement ceiling (we will be doing a blackout ceiling). We will absolutely be calling them when we are ready to proceed with the next portion of our basement!"

"I had a really good experience with the Patch Boys. They did an awesome job from scheduling the quote to completing my drywall job. Excellent communication and customer service. I even hired them to complete an additional flooring installation that turned out great. I would definitely be using them again and would greatly recommend them."

"Great job by Cesar! Very professional and great communication. Both my bedroom and bathroom look great! Always cleaned up after he left and vacuumed. The job took three days and it was well worth it. Cesar went way out of his way to fix things that needed to get done even without asking. Thank you Cesar"

My name is Isidro but I go by Izzy, I’m a 36 y/o family man with a supportive wife and three kids. I’m a ((passionate)) taper and drywall finisher, I also enjoy doing interior painting and luxury wall designs, texture, and venetian plaster. I’m an honest and reliable worker with attention to detail who prioritizes customer satisfaction. I have worked as a district painter for township school district 211 and for drywall companies such as Mjs Drywall and Patch Masters of North Shore, my niche is taping and finishing but look forward to providing you with quality work!

Small jobs welcome

Hi! My name is Daniel and I have been working and getting my hands dirty since a teenager. I use to work in remodeling residential houses, but now I'm a supervisor in the Ink industry. I've always been good with figuring out how to fix things from household appliances, to holes in walls, or having to regrout bathroom tiles due to mold. I've put in hard wood flooring, vinyl flooring, drywall, trim and crown molding, as well as paint. I'm willing to go about 25-30 miles from my home to work for some extra income. And if you do follow through with hiring me, I can assure you, whatever you need done will get done in a timely and efficient manner with care and attention to detail. So please reach out with any questions and I'm more than willing to be at your service.

To hide drywall edges, you need to properly apply drywall tape and multiple layers of joint compound. These materials hide the seams between drywall sheets and fill the holes from drywall screws, leaving behind a smooth, flat finish to paint over. Apply joint compound smoothly, and finish the job by sanding the walls to make sure you fully hide drywall edges and other imperfections.

You can technically just paint over hairline cracks in plaster since these cracks are often harmless, but this will mostly be a waste of paint. Paint will only hide the hairline crack for a few months before it shows up again. The best solution is to repair the crack with flexible filler or joint compound before repainting.

Yes, small, superficial cracks are normal as homes settle. Older homes have a higher chance of showing signs of settling through hairline cracks from temperature changes, moisture changes, and soil shifting. However, larger cracks, or discolored cracks from water damage, may signify a bigger problem that requires reparations and preventative measures.

Cracks, holes, water damage, and dents from heavy equipment often require repair.

In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.
