"Wonderful; the entire experience was wonderful. Matt contacted me via email and via phone, before scheduling to come out for an estimate. When he came out, he LISTENED to us, when we mentioned that we only wanted an estimate to trim the dead branches. Every other company we tasked ignored our request to only trim the dead branches, and tried to up-sell us additional trimming services that we did not ask for, nor want. After their current lead time, they came out and did a perfect job trimming the tree. Matt even stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. I recommend this company, 100%! We will likely go with them again."

"Horjes and Joe did a fantastic job. They were skilled and careful with an eye for appropriate shapes and sizes for each tree trimmed. Not to be confused with an Alberquer New Mexico firm named with almost the same name on Angi. My husband and I were pleased with their curtesy, ability to clean up everything and to work diligently and safely. We want them to come back again in th late fall to work on trimming our very large oak tree."

"Luis and his crew did an awesome job. Removed 2 large trees from my back yard that were hanging over my fence. Had to climb to cut and lower down the branches so they didn’t hit the fence or my Arborvitae bushes and other plants. When they finished they cleaned up my yard like no one was ever there. The price was great and the they did a phenomenal job!! Highly recommend Trejos!!!"

"Had Mike out for a quote to remove tree from the snow storm. He came out with a quote which I accepted and his crew was at my house the next day. Fast, efficient, and cleaned up yard. Will have them back to trim other trees in the Spring. Janet in Elgin, Ill."

"Best price all around, and the best quality work around. I had five trees removed from my property, one of which was extremely big. These guys started at 8:30 and cut all 5 trees down, removed the stumps and roots, and clean the whole property in less than 8 hours. I have already recommended these guys to two of my friends and will continue to refer them in the future. This company earned and deserved the 5 star rating across the board. Donâ t hesitate to call them!"

"Tom O Plainfield. Il Hired Bella Tree service to remove a large dead tree. Very professional and fantastic workers. Happy with the job they did in little over an hour- got tree cut down, cleaned up yard and street, ground the stump - all good! Amazing work for a very reasonable price too. Would recommend to anyone who asks us and would definitely use again if needed."

"BTR provided a quote and took out our small 30’ Hawthorn on the same day. They came in with a crew of 6 working locally on another project and the tree was gone! They moved fast but weren’t all that kind to our flowers (damaged) and bird bath (knocked over) in the process. If you want work done quickly these are the guys for you. Keep your eyes on where they plan to drag the branches in advance and you should be fine."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.

Many consider the Fraser fir to be the most popular type of Christmas tree, but which type of tree sells out near you can depend on region and decorating trends that year. For example, the Leyland cypress is especially popular in the Southeast, according to the National Christmas Tree Association.

Service costs depend on several factors, including the system's age, type, and size, as well as the complexity of the repair. Labor costs and whether replacement parts are necessary also play a significant role.

Generally, homeowners do not need permission to cut down a tree on their own private property, but there are several exceptions where a permit may be required. You might need a permit if the tree is particularly large, old, or a protected species, such as a heritage tree. Trees located near public property or power lines can also be subject to special rules. Additionally, many local governments and homeowners associations (HOAs) have regulations controlling which trees can be removed to manage an area's appearance or prevent the spread of invasive species. To avoid hefty fines, it is crucial to check with your local government and HOA to determine if a permit is needed before you begin.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.
