A late June storm brought down our beautiful Magnolia tree. Within 18 hours of an emergency phone call to Brown, the tree had been cleared and all but the stump removed. They would remove the stump later but when we needed them, Brown responded quickly and professionally. Will use them and their certified arborist to help us with planting a new tree. We continue to receive excellent service from this company.

Went great. There was a little confusion because I didn't realize a different crew would come to grind out the stumps and plant the tree. Wasn't here for that part and wish I had.

Tree has been losing leaves during summer every year for 10 years. Decided to try treatment this spring. Brown Tree came quickly and injected tree. Injection did not work - leaves getting spots, turning yellow and falling off. Brown Tree not willing to give a refund. Brown Tree says tree is at end of life. They want to take it out and replace it with another tree - would apply $100 towards removal and replacement. There was no discussion about the tree being at the end of its life before the injection, but there was discussion about an option to solving the apple scab problem was to remove the tree and replace it with a apple scab resistant tree. I think this was their objective all along. Would not use them again.

"Crabapple Scab is a yellowing of the leaves and then dropping of the leaves throughout the late spring and summer. At BTS we inject the trees at the required time which happens to be bud swell. Scab is very difficult to contain because it is a fungus and there is no cure for it only control and weather has more effect both positively and negatively. It is all predicated on the amount of rainfall and how cool the temperatures are and the fungicide either sprayed or injected has very little effect. If the rainfall is normal to moderate then the fungicide works very well. Lets just say there are a lot of moving parts and we explain that in detail. Today many species of Crabapple and flowering trees are tolerant to resistant to scab they are engineered that way. Most Trees which include Crabapple trees have a lift cycle. Our suggestion has and always will be to replace your scab infected tree with a newer variety of Crabapple. Many consumers prefer to try and control the problem and we have found injecting the tree apposed to spraying the tree has a better effect but the fact remains the same the tree should be replaced with a more suitable tree."

I had to have a tree removed from my front yard due to a split that occurred during a wind storm. Brown shuffled their schedule and were prompt in answering any questions as well as working quickly and professionally to complete the work.

Work completed as agreed to. Trimmed large oak tree in backyard removed small to medium size tree in front yard and trimmed Japanese maple and neighbors trees back to the fence line. Will be coming back to plant a tree this month.

Very good communication during quotation process and adjusting things as needed. Price was not the lowest nor the highest among the quotes I received but they gave the most confidence in their explanation of the work to be done. They addressed things that other companies did not even mention as possible concerns and took care of scheduling the marking of utilities ahead of work being performed. Actual work was scheduled and occurred in a timely manner. Clean-up was good. I was happy with the company and would consider them again.

Needed to remove two trees and prune a third. After a couple of false starts (caused by the power company rescheduling service drop) Brown showed up and in one day had taken down a very tall, sad Siberian elm and a struggling Crabapple. They also pruned the big maple in our backyard. They returned the very next day to do a root cleaning and plant two new trees in the place of the two that they had taken out.

The arborist, Martin, who provided the quote was very knowledgeable and helped us make decisions that were right for our yard and existing trees. The actual removal went quick and smooth with very little disruption to our property. We will use them, again, in the future.

Called in to the office to schedule a visit by an arborist. Had an arborist come out the next day to take a look at the damage. As expected, the tree was a loss. Received a quote for complete removal of the tree and stump grinding to well below grade with a a guarantee to be able to plant another tree in the same spot. The quote was about half of what other tree services wanted for just removal with stump grinding extra. They also quoted replacement of the tree with another pear tree variety that is more resistant to wind damage. We signed off on the removal and stump grinding. We opted not to have the tree replaced, though the price of a 10 foot replacement tree was reasonable ($600 for a 10 foot replacement). Within a couple of days of the inspection and estimate, a crew came out and removed the tree and ground the stump. The tree was removed and the area was well cleaned of debris from the downed tree. Very satisfied. Would highly recommend and would use this tree service again in the future.

After a big storm, a large limb fell from one of our trees. Another tree was practically split down the middle. Brown's came out the next day and gave us a very reasonable estimate compared to Gray's tree Service, which was almost double for the same job. Our tree was cabled and trimmed and the fallen limb was removed. The yard was cleaned up to our full satisfaction. We will use Brown in the future as necessary.

This outfit provided a prompt estimate. They took care of setting up the service from JULIE, and contacted the power company since the tree was near power lines. Both shrubs and trees were removed and then ground out two days later. Work was fast and cleanup was OK. The billing system got confused since they sent invoices in spite of the fact that I paid on site by check.

Great service - Ken is very knowledgeable and responsive. His team did a great job removing trees - one of which was 30-40 feet and hanging directly over our deck. Everything was cleaned up and the team was friendly and professional.

I called for an estimate, and an arborist was out the next day. The crew that came to take out the trees was efficient and professional. One of the trees was located in a small, fenced in side yard, in an area planted with perennials and shrubs. The workers warned me that there might be some damage to the surrounding plantings, but that they would be careful. I was very pleased to find minimal damage when they were done. The workers hauled away all the branches, and raked and swept the area thoroughly. The company's response time was terrific--I first called for the estimate on Thursday, and the trees were removed the following Tuesday. We would not hesitate to recommend this company for any tree removal services.

When i decided to get this tree removed i Chose Brown because of the good service I ahd from them in the past which included the planting of three trees in our backyard along with peridocui tree trimming. As usual i got a quote very quick and they came out and removed the tree within a couple weeks. the issue started afterwards though as the crew did not have the machinery to grind out the stump with but said someone would be out in the next day or two to do the grinding. Two days turned into two weeks with no one stopping out. I placed a couple calls to them and lest a message that went unanswered (meanwhile an invoice showed up in the mail asking for payment on a job that wasnt even complete.) Finally i got an email saying they would be out within the week. That never happened which prompted me to leave more messages and emails that went unanswered like my previous ones. Finally someone showed yesterday and completed the job. So in the end it took 4 weeks to get the stump ground meanwhile I had to keep holding up my sod people until this was completed. With all the rain we have been getting it would have been nice to have had the sod laid 4 weeks ago. As a business owner myself I just cant tolerate bad customer service and non responsiveness. Going forward ill be looking for another company when it comes to tree service. Its a shame as they have friendly crews and do decent work...
