It wasn't long before the business grew too big for Mark's home, so he set up shop at his first retail location on 6th Street, Springfield. As the company grew and evolved, Mark decided in 1992 to move the business to its current location on Woodside Rd., in Springfield. "I had a disappointing experience with Sprinklawn for their lawn irrigation services. Here's what happened: The crew arrived late for the first appointment, which was supposed to be done in 30 minutes to an hour. They couldn’t force air out of two zones because they didn’t have the right tools or enough time. The technician said someone would have to come back later to fix it. On the second visit, the team tried again, but still couldn’t find the valves. Instead, they hooked the pressure to a sprinkler head, which isn’t the right way to do it. This crew came 20 minutes early and spent less than 20 minutes on the job. They said they were too busy and would need to finish it in the spring. After they left, I noticed a sprinkler head in my yard was broken. I had replaced that head less than two years ago, so I think it broke during their work. When I told the technicians my concerns, they just said they didn’t have enough time. When I called customer service, they gave me the owner’s number. The owner, Gary, was very matter-of-fact and said the way they handled it was the only option because my system is old. My main concerns are: Sprinklawn doesn’t seem to fix problems correctly the first time. Their process seems to add extra stress to my irrigation system, causing more issues later. Customer service is poor. They didn’t even offer a credit for the sprinkler head they broke. I won’t use Sprinklawn again because of the poor service and lack of care. I gave two stars because they have been good at repairs in the past when they had enough time and the right tools. But this experience was very frustrating."
